It's official official, TOWIE fans; after three long years, show bosses have finally green-lit another TOWIE Christmas special and not only has the cast now wrapped filming, but we will be getting the festive dramz in t-minus ten days.
From finding out what the hell went down between Joe Blackman and Junaid Ahmed to the first pics of Dan Edgar and Ella Rae Wise's reunion, here is everything we know so far about The Only Way is Essexmas.
Who will be on the TOWIE Christmas special?
The usual suspects will feature including Saffron Lempriere, Junaid, Ella, Courtney Green, Chloe Meadows, Elma Pazar, Dan and Freddie Bentley.
TOWIE couples Diags and Jodie Wells, as well as Sophie Kasaei and Jordan Brook, have also been spotted on set.
We were a tad concerned for a second that some of our faves wouldn't feature; Amber Turner spends half her time in Dubai these days and even Dani Imbert hinted that she had said goodbye to Essex recently, but both girlies have been snapped all glammed up alongside their fellow cast for the special.
Harry Derbidge was another person we were worried wouldn't feature as the TOWIE OG is currently off in Australia, but thankfully, he headed down under AFTER the Christmas special wrapped.
In a wild turn of events that none of us saw coming, James 'Arg' Argent is also making an Essex comeback complete with a Santa hat and Christmas tree shopping.
Newcomers Livvy Jay and Becks Bloomberg will also feature, as will Love Island turned TOWIE star, Sammy Root and his bestie, Roman Hackett.
Also our toes are crossed that Frankie and Demi Sims will return for some festive dramz after making their surprise return in last season's finale.
When will the TOWIE Christmas special air?
Rumours first began swirling that the TOWIE Christmas special would be making a comeback after a three-year break last month when a telly insider told The Sun, 'The latest series of TOWIE has been a huge hit and there has been a lot of drama. It made sense to bring back the Christmas special.'
The officially TOWIE Instagram confirmed that The Only Way is Essexmas will air Sunday 15 December.
What have the cast said about the TOWIE Christmas special?
While we patiently await the explosive conclusion to this year's TOWIE drama, the cast are doing their bit to support us by releasing behind-the-scenes footage from filming and even doing full-blown interviews (Chloe Meadows has revealed that a full-on Real Housewives of Cheshire-esque Christmas dinner party is on the Christmas cards) and we genuinely feel like we're waiting for Wicked to be released all over again.
Ella also spilled some Christmas special tea in one of her ever-iconic Instagram Q&As.
Speaking of the Christmas special, she promised her 334K followers that the 'gobsmacking' TOWIE special is worth the wait. When asked to describe the Christmas special in three words, Ella wrote, 'Just one word is enough. Gobsmacking.'
The questions we need answering in the TOWIE Christmas special
Given all the dramz that has taken place over the course of series 34, there’s some questions that we’re going to need answering come 15 December, so listen up, TOWIE bigwigs...
Firstly, are Junaid and Joe in a relationship? They’ve just been having some fun in the sun on holiday recently, but Joe has been quite open about not wanting to jump straight into another relationship following his split from Harry. Then, of course, there was that teaser trailer which flat out confirmed they had split, and yet, they are NEVER apart on social media. So WHAT is going on?
A couple who definitely aren’t casual are Jordan Brook and Sophie Kasaei. The couple have been the subject of engagement rumours for a while now, so can we expect a festive proposal?
Diags and Jodie Wells are another Essex couple whose relationship has been under the spotlight after he asked her to move down to Essex with her son Bear. Jodie is yet to make the move, so will the Christmas special finally see her and Bear set up home with Diags?
Things might have been going well between them towards the end of series 34, but Dan Edgar and Ella Rae Wise have just split, so will we get to see the fallout from their breakup at Christmas? We ruddy well hope so.
Another question we need answering is what’s going on between Courtney Green and her rarely seen boyfriend Callum Bushby? Court recently opened up about their ‘rocky path’ after she revealed they were taking time apart last series, but where do things stand now? Will he finally make his debut TOWIE appearance during the Christmas special?
Lastly, just what has Freddie Bentley done to earn himself the title of ‘Lord’? The new addition to the cast recently revealed he’s now going by Lord Freddie Bentley, but how did he get such an honour bestowed upon him? We must know immediately.
