Regarding this latest TOWIE rumour, last week our showbiz Spidey sense was tingling, this week it’s thumping.
We’ve been keeping an eye on rumours that Lovestruck High star, Junaid Ahmed could soon jump ship and join team TOWIE.
On Lovestruck High, Junaid is arguably one of the standout characters from the already iconic series – the Lindsay-Lohan-narrated reality show which transports a group of UK singles looking for love into their very own High School. It’s fair to say that Junaid’s viper tongue and professional shade – not to mention Lindsay Lohan being effortlessly iconic – stole the show. Now, it seems TOWIE producers have their eye on Junaid.
The fresh reality star recently joined TOWIE chum on a flight to Paris. Junaid posted a picture from the plane window, while Yazmin took an array of onboard snaps, including one with a mystery person with their face blurred out – quite clearly bestie, Junaid.
The pair tried to throw TOWIE fans off with their Instagram comments (Junaid said, “wish I was with you xxxx”), but they weren’t buying it, and neither are we. Something is going on and it’s got whiffs of TOWIE producers.
These two are playing games with fans already. Imagine what chaos they would cause if they got to play their games on TOWIE week after week?
The proof is plastered all over Instagram, so surely by the rules of probability, Junaid’s friendships and new-found fame will see him grace the regular TOWIE hotspots in no time with this utter squad?
And it seems fans have their sights on this foursome too.
One TOWIE fan commented on a recent picture of Yazmin, Ella, Dani and Junaid, saying, “@towie please make this group for TOWIE we need this 🔥”.
It's safe to say Junaid and Yaz are self-confessed best friends and you can feel the genuine love all over their Instagram feeds.
Speaking about Yaz on her birthday, Junaid said on Instagram, "You are my sister, my wife, my number one. We laugh together, we cry together, we are complete idiots in front of each but we have the best times ever.
"This day is all about you and you deserve all the things in your life. I’m so proud of the person you are today and you are one of the nicest, caring, genuine people around."
If Junaid did start popping up on TOWIE, it wouldn’t exactly be a first for reality TV.
In fact, a few celebrities have joined TOWIE after starring on another reality TV show.
Ex on the Beach icon Megan McKenna first appeared on TOWIE in a cameo way back in 2010 when she auditioned for Jess Wright's girl band. TOWIE fans may even remember that Mark Wright hit on her.
Other reality TV star cameos on TOWIE have included Love Island stars Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde, Ex on the Beach star Jess Impiazzi and Absolutely Ascot star Angel Bo Stanley.
There's also been reports that another Absolutely Ascot star is joining TOWIE in 2022.
