It feels like Love Island's only really just got going, but in actual fact, it won't be long before that notorious neon sign flashes up on our screens and Iain Stirling announces the arrival of everyone's favourite week – Casa Amor.

You know, those few wild days where either the boys or girls are whisked off to a new Love Island 2024 villa to meet a fresh batch of tasty new Islanders. They then have the opportunity to bring a new Islander back to the main villa (if they feel their connection is strong enough) in what can only be described as utter telly chaos, but the kind of utter telly chaos that makes you feel grateful you booked your holibobs abroad (where ITVX doesn't work) much later in the summer. Why would anyone want to miss this?

Especially this year – let's remember the likes of Ronnie Vint and Joey Essex are about to be put through the Casa Amor test.

If our extensive research is correct, Casa Amor should be happening within the next week or two and, honestly, anything is possible with this lot. Who knows; Ronnie could find his wife for life, the most solid couples – Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies and Mimii Ngulube and Ayo Odukoya – could face serious tests that could make or break their seemingly solid connections, and Sean Stone could be tempted by someone sweeter than Matilda Draper...

We just don't know how Love Island's biggest test is going to go down this summer. What we do know is how it's gone down on previous seasons...

Let's take a look at some of Love Island's most memorable Casa Amor moments.

Ella Thomas returns with Ouzy See

This was huge, and somehow only a year ago. Remember when we all thought playboy Love Island 2023's Tyrique Hyde would seriously struggle with temptation in Casa Amor? But instead, it was his villa bae Ella Thomas who returned with a new Islander on her arm – Ouzy See. The nation witnessed an actual heart breaking on telly and it was brutal af. Of course they got back together eventually and it all worked out in the end – until it didn't, of course.

Whitney and Lochan find love in a hopeless place

Just like Rihanna and whoever she was singing about in the summer banger before her, Love Island 2023's faves Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki met and began their love story in Love Island 2023's Casa Amor – and they're still together today, huns. In fact, they're giving forever.

Molly Marsh returns for a second chance at love

Okay, we just want to remind everyone that we predicted this way before Molly Marsh's dramatic af return to the show during Casa Amor week. The second Molly was dumped so early on in the show, we called it. Whether this happens again this year, we can't be sure – but it would be juicy to watch Samantha Kenny square off with Joey Essex again. If you ask us, just like Molly, Samantha's story has a few more chapters.

Casey O'Gorman sticks with Claudia Fogarty

Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo was a Casa Amor bombshell who hit it off with Casey O'Gorman during her short-lived time on winter Love Island 2023 and we were all so sure he would pick her in the recoupling.

But in a move that shocked the nation, Casey decided to stick with his current partner Claudia Fogarty despite having shared some serious smooches and straddling with Cynthia the day before.

Tanya Manhenga returns with Martin Akinola

She may have declared she was in love with Shaq Muhammed before heading off to winter Love Island 2023's Casa Amor, but that didn't stop Tanya Manhenga from having her head turned.

When Tanya strolled in with Martin Akinola gasps could be heard all around the fire pit, even host Maya Jamacouldn't believe her eyes.

It didn't take long for Tanya to realise she still had feelings for Shaq and after secretly kissing him in the middle of the night and declaring her love in a very public speech, it was all back on and they ended up coming in fourth place.

Jessie Wynter finds out that Will Young kissed Layla Al-Momani

When Jessie Wynter returned from winter Love Island 2023's Casa Amor and saw Will Young stood alone it hit us all in the feels, especially when she broke down into tears but the moment was ruined when it was revealed that Will had kissed Casa Amor girl, Layla Al-Momani.

The couple managed to pull through and are still together.

Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard break-up

"I was coming here to tell you that I loved you."

No sadder words have ever been spoken in the Love Island villa. That is the sound of Amy Hart's, erm, heart being broken by Curtis Pritchard during Love Island 2019.

After she returned from Casa Amor, Amy was devastated when she discovered that Curtis had the hots for Jourdan Riane, who, by the way didn't return his feelings. Awks.

Andrew Le Page in #titgate

Who could ever forget Love Island 2022 and #titgate?

During his trip to Casa Amor, Andrew Le Page licked a part of Coco Lodge's body he perhaps shouldn't have.

Upon returning to the villa, Andrew infamously confessed to Tasha Ghourithat he had "licked her tit or whatever" and it sent Twitter into an absolute frenzy.

The couple managed to pull through the drama though and they are still very much together.

Shaughna Phillips becomes an icon with "Congrats hun"

During winter Love Island 2020, everybody's favourite Islander Shaughna Phillips was left gutted when Callum Jones returned from Casa Amor with Molly Smith on his arm.

Shaughna handled the situation like a trooper and in what is potentially the most iconic statement in Love Island history, simply responded with "Congrats hun."

Absolute queen behaviour.

Michael Griffiths returns with Joanna Chimonides - leaving Amber Gill single

Love Island 2019 truly did have its dramas.

When Amber Gill returned from Casa Amor alone because she actually thought she'd found something with Michael Griffiths, she was left a single Pringle when it was revealed that Michael had coupled up with Joanna Chimonides.

The girls in the villa were NOT impressed and rather than apologise, Michael called Amber "chadlish". It quickly became his trademark, oh and Destiny Chaldish was born.

Kem Cetinay returns with Chyna Ellis

In Love Island 2017 Kem Cetinay shocked everyone when he returned from Casa Amor with Chyna Ellis even though he had been in a couple with Amber Davies. It was all VERY DRAMATIC.

The duo managed to make up though and Amber and Kem even went on to win the show.

Jack Fincham's ex-girlfriend makes an appearance

In what is one of the most complained about moment in Love Island history we had the arrival of Jack Fincham's ex-girlfriend that left Dani Dyer hysterically crying.

Over 2,500 people complained to Ofcom about the incident which saw Dani break down in tears after being sent a video of Jack's ex-girlfriend rocking up in Casa Amor. But nothing could stop the budding romance of Jack and Dani and they actually went on to be crowned winners of Love Island 2018.

Lillie Haynes reveals she kissed Liam Reardon

Love Island 2021 saw Millie Court and Liam Reardon have their loyalty truly tested when he headed off to Casa Amor.

After enjoying a 'lads holiday' in the other villa, Millie was thrilled to be reunited with her Welsh fella only for it be revealed he had not only kissed Lillie Haynes but also shared a bed with her. Ouch.

Millie may have been gutted when the treachery was unveiled but the couple managed to move pass it and won season seven. Sadly though, they broke up after leaving the villa.

Jacques O'Neill cheats on Paige Thorne

Paige Thorne and Jacques O'Neill were love young's dream during Love Island 2022 but when Jacques headed off to the Casa Amor villa he met Cheyanne Kerr and Paige was but a memory.

After some freaky business in the pool, Cheyanne thought Jacques may well pick her in the recoupling but when he chose Paige instead, the Casa Amor bombshell disclosed exactly what Jacques had gotten up to in the Casa Amor villa. These naughty boys, honestly.

Ovie Soko

It's not all bad news, guys.

Casa Amor did provide us with the god that is Ovie Soko.

The basketball player coupled up with Anna Vakili and returned to the villa where he became BFFs with Amber and partnered up with India Reynolds.

What is Casa Amor?

The legendary second villa (formally known as Casa De Amor) was first introduced inLove Island 2017 and since then has caused absolute carnage amongst our couples.

When does Casa Amor start?

It usually takes place roughly halfway through the series, which means we're a week or two away.

How long does Casa Amor last?

Sometimes two days, sometimes a week but just enough time for soe real drama to unfold.

What happens in Casa Amor?

Honestly, everything.

Heads are turned, tits are licked, kisses are shared and hearts are well and truly broken.
