She was due to marry her fiancé, Carl Woods, this summer, despite their relationship becoming increasingly tumultuous. And now sources say Katie Price is still hoping to tie the knot with the car salesman, regardless of their split last week.
Just a fortnight ago, the couple – who have been together since June 2020 – looked loved-up as they enjoyed a romantic holiday to Thailand. But after their return to the UK, events took a dramatic twist, when reports revealed that Carl had dumped Katie, 43, after accusing her of cheating on him. It has since been alleged that she was sending flirtatious messages to her ex Kris Boyson last year, using daughter Princess’ Instagram.
“Katie and Carl have always had a passionate relationship – one minute madly in love, the next arguing,” says a source.
“Carl is very green-eyed, and when he dumped her, she barely showed any emotion – confidently insisting he’d come running back in a few days once he’d calmed down. She dismissed it as a bad row and is adamant they’ll still be getting married – even continuing to make plans despite everything.”
Katie’s little sister Sophie, 32, has also just become engaged to her partner, Harry Brooks, and our insider says Katie is keen to ensure Sophie doesn’t beat her down the aisle.
She and Carl had reportedly booked her birthday, 22 May, for their fairground- themed wedding, due to be held at her Sussex mansion, with a hog roast and Carl set to arrive in a supercar.
“Sophie’s engagement has only fuelled Katie’s desire to have her dream wedding,” the source continues. “Of course, she’s thrilled for her little sister, but the thought of her own wedding being cancelled, and Sophie taking the limelight, isn’t an option in her eyes.
“She’s even joked to pals that if Carl doesn’t come back, she’ll have to find another man to marry her in less than two months! Family and friends have urged her to let it go and have a break from men, given she’s clearly in such a troubled place, but the thought of being alone is her worst nightmare.”

The wedding would be the fourth marriage for Katie, who counts singer Pete Andre, cage fighter Alex Reid and personal trainer Kieran Hayler among her exes. The star – who is mum to Harvey, 19, Junior, 16, Princess, 14, Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven – started dating Carl in the summer of 2020, but the relationship has recently been plagued by arguments as they’ve struggled to deal with their respective crises.
In February, Katie was charged with harassing Kieran’s fiancée, after allegedly breaching a restraining order banning her from contacting Michelle Penticost, 39. The mum of five is due to appear in court this month, and reports suggest she could face up to five years in jail. Katie was also sentenced to a 16-week suspended jail term in December 2021, after admitting drink-driving following a crash that saw her hospitalised after flipping her car. And her court dramas come on top of serious financial woes – in February, she avoided jail after striking a last- minute deal to pay off her debts of £2.3 million.
Meanwhile, last month, car trader Carl also appeared in court, after being charged with abusive and threatening behaviour – charges he has denied. He was arrested last August after allegedly getting into an argument with Katie, 42, at his home in Essex.

Now, if Carl and Katie do decide to end things for good, friends say they wouldn’t be surprised if she considers a reunion with fitness instructor Kris, who she had an on-off relationship with for two years until 2019. The star notoriously hates being on her own and has previously admitted she usually has someone on the “back burner”. She’s said, “Not in every single relationship, but if I have split from someone and then I haven’t got someone lined up, I’m like, ‘Oh I’ve got to find someone.’”
“Katie’s head is all over the place,” adds the source. “She does really love Carl but it’s been a stressful few months because of everything that’s gone on and, understandably, that has put a strain on their relationship. But she hates being alone and she wants things to work out with Carl. She is adamant she never cheated on him and she would never intend to hurt him.”
