Is it just us or does it feel like a LIFETIME ago that we were watching series 29 of TOWIE? With all the coronavirus pandemic restrictions, filming was tricky during 2021, but we were still gifted two series and a Christmas special.

Well it has recently been announced that the new series of TOWIE will seen the return of Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows after they were axed from the show last year in one of the biggest shake ups of the cast in the show's history.

The duo are currently filming for the new series in the Dominican Republic and the show is rumoured to be on screens over the summer.

The lifelong besties have been spotted alongside Amber TurnerDan EdgarDiagsDani ImbertYazmin Oukhellou and new cast member Junaid Ahmed.

Courtney spoke to the Daily Star about her return to the show, explaining, "I've been doing the show since I was 19, so it's all I know.

"I’m not sure who, but because it’s started a bit later, they’ve really put in everything to make it a good series. I think it’s going to be a good one. I think they're going to ramp it up, to be honest."

Chloe also revealed that her long term partner George Wales may be making an appearance in the new series. She said, "He might do some appearances, but not be a proper (cast) member. He might do a little cameo."

The new series will begin in The Dominican Republic and an ITVBe source teased, "Towie is coming back with a bang and the cast are off to the Dominican Republic.

"It’s been months in the planning and all the details were signed off today. It is the most flash trip they’ve ever done but given they’ve spent the last two years on home soil the bosses wanted to give the stars – and the fans – a treat."

We're definitely starting to have withdrawal symptoms from our Essex faves as we've been waiting on tenterhooks to see when series 30 (thirty!) will be on our screens.

Since January we've heard rumours from the cast that filming for the new series had been delayed, with show stars Chloe Brockett and Dani Imbert saying that the cast were meant to be back filming as early as March but that the date had been pushed back.

The rumours were confirmed by ITV and production company Lime Pictures, who issued a joined statement in which they explained, “Owing to ongoing challenges posed by Covid, the forthcoming series of The Only Way Is Essex will now be postponed until later in the year."

So, when does TOWIE start again?

In March, Chloe Brockett took to her Insta stories to confirm that she will be back filming in June, after initially getting the date wrong.

Replying to a fan who is desperate for their TOWIE fix, Chloe said, "I actually kept telling everyone, ‘Oh I go back to filming in July, turns out I didn’t read the text message properly, but we go back to filming in June! I’m excited to go back to filming because I am bored. I liked the break but I haven’t filmed since Celebs Go Dating in January."

Chloe also assured fans that it will be worth the wait, "The season has been delayed because we want to film without Covid restrictions and be able to stand next to each other. We want to go on an away trip abroad and because television restrictions are a lot stricter to do that atm would be hard! So in a few months time it should be easier ❤️."

Another cast member, Dani Imbert, who recently announced her split from co-star Gatsby, also spoke out on the situation and revealed that the show likely won't be returning until this summer, telling a fan, "Still got a few months until we're back filming again."

There's no better place to start than the birth of the 'vajazzle', a crystal encrusted pattern that can be applied to a woman's nether regions to make their bits looks fancy and elegant. Beaut babe. After Amy Childs and Sam Faiers filmed this scene and it had aired, this was the only thing the nation was talking about, with salons across the country starting to offer the beauty treatment so fans of the show could replicate their idols and be a true Essex women.

Has Yazmin Oukhellou returned to TOWIE?

Yaz quit TOWIE last year following her split from boyfriend James Lock and moved to Dubai to pursue a career as a real estate broker. But after returning to the UK, she's sparked rumours she could make a shock comeback - especially following reports that her ex Lockie had a fling with her friend Chloe Brockett.

Yaz then returned to the show and came face to face with Lockie and it looks like she's back for good as her Lovestruck BFF has joined the cast.
