Iconic TOWIE star Amy Childs has welcomed her twins into the world.
Announcing the exciting news on Instagram, Amy posted a photo of herself and boyfriend Billy Delbosq holding their little ones.
"Welcome to the world our beautiful little twins 💙💗 Born 06/04/23 7.04pm twin 1, 7.05pm twin 2," she wrote on social media.
"Mummy and Daddy love you so so much.. We’ve been in a complete baby bubble the past few days.. Our family is now finally complete.. 🥰 @billydelbosq8 you have been incredible the last few days... I love you so much... 💙💗 xxx".
Before Amy gave birth, her best pal and cousin Harry Derbidge told Closer he believes the twins will be just as iconic as their famous mum.
Harry, 28, says, “They’re due around my birthday, which is 3 April. I’m sure the twins will make a TOWIE cameo some time. They’re going to be very famous!”
Harry and Amy appeared on TOWIE together as two of the original cast members – alongside Mark Wright, 36, Lauren Goodger, 36, and Joey Essex, 32.
After leaving the show in 2011, he returned for one series with then-boyfriend Bobby Norris, 36, in 2014, before making his comeback for good in 2020.
And through their rise to fame over the years, Harry says he and Amy have remained just as close – so close that he was the first one she told about her latest pregnancy. He says, “She told me before she told Bill!” He continues, “Four kids! It’s going to be a lot. But we’re a really close family, so it’ll be lovely!”
In terms of his own love life, Harry is currently single. He split from Bobby in 2014 – following rumours that Harry had cheated with an ex-boyfriend. In 2021, the star faced yet more heartbreak after splitting from fiancé Dean Rowland after four years together, before briefly dating Jackson Longergan four months later.
But Harry – who has just returned from filming TOWIE in Thailand – says he’s too busy focusing on himself to date at the moment.
He reveals, “I’ve had a lot personally going on for the last three years. I was with someone, getting married, and then we split and it didn’t work out. I’m on a new journey now.”
Amy last year took to her Instagram to reveal the gender of her twins.
The reality TV star currently has a daughter, Polly, and son, Ritchie, and has now welcomed two more babies with her boyfriend Billy.
In an adorable video Amy and her fella started by off showing the baby scans before leading up to the gender reveal by popping two balloons.
The couple's excitement was clear when they discovered that they'll be welcoming a boy and a girl.
Although she keeps Ritchie's face off Instagram, Amy has shared a video of her son being pushed in a pram by Billy. Amy makes a point of keeping her son off social media and away from the TOWIE cameras.
Ritchie couldn't be seen in the rare clip, but Amy captioned the post, "Watching the sunset 🌅 My favourite time of night... @billydelbosq8. Ritchie's pram is @outnabout360 ❤️."
She also shared a gorgeous sunset snap of her two children, from a holiday in Cyprus.
Amy is best known as the Essex icon who made vajazzles mainstream, but after leaving and then returning to the ITVBe show she's also become a mumfluencer and a mother of two.
Speaking to Closer in 2019, she said, “I’m a completely different person now. Motherhood has completely changed me for the better – there’s more to life that vajazzles. It’s all about my kids and they’re the centre of my world now. There’s no time to be selfish or care about what other people think.”
Here's your need to know about her kids Polly and Ritchie, including why she only posts Polly on her social media and why Ritchie will never appear on TOWIE.
Amy Childs' daughter
After quitting TOWIE in 2011, Amy went on to have some success on various reality shows including Celebrity Big Brother and The Jump. In 2017 she became a mum to Polly with her then boyfriend Bradley Wright.
Opening up about giving birth for the first time, she said, "My labour was so long and hard – it was 27 hours. I did most of it without pain relief, but I had to have an epidural in the end as it was all too much."
Amy admitted she was "happy and relieved" when her daughter arrived and although she had to have two stitches, she added, "I feel fine. It's so true – you definitely forget the pain afterwards."
She quickly established herself as a #relatable mum when she opened up about struggling to breastfeed because of her boob job.
"I stayed in hospital the next day and they told me I needed nipple shields, as I have inverted nipples. She latched on but wasn't really getting anything from it, just a little colostrum. The milk wasn't coming."
Sadly just two months after welcoming Polly in April, Amy announced she'd split from Bradley, with a spokesperson saying, "Amy has not thrown Brad out, but they have split up amicably. Brad will of course see Polly whenever he likes and they will remain friends."
Polly regularly appears on TOWIE alongside her mum and the rest of their family. Recent episodes have shown Amy trying to get Polly into modelling and she even has her own Instagram account @pollychilds2017.
Despite confessing that she thinks her daughter is "made for TV", Amy previously explained that Polly actually goes to a private school "so she can be a lawyer or accountant or doctor or anything she wants to be but it will always be her choice".
Amy went on to say that her daughter is "the star of the show", but insisted she wouldn't ever force her to film.
Amy Childs' son
In 2018, Amy welcomed her second child with her then boyfriend, a businessman called Ritchie. She gave birth to a son, who she also called Ritchie.
But despite Polly's love of being on camera, Amy always kept her son off social media and we didn't even know his name until two years after his birth.
In September 2020, Amy explained that it was actually a decision she made with her now ex-boyfriend and baby daddy.
"Basically me and Ritchie's dad agreed together not to put Ritchie on social media or TOWIE," she explained. "We won't put him on social media or TV until he is old enough to make that decision himself."
She went on to reassure that he's "like a mini-me" and she loves him "every bit as much as Polly," but it was a decision she made with her now ex-boyfriend.
"Polly has a different dad and I made a different decision with Polly and it is that simple," she said. "It was a hard decision because I don't want Ritchie or Polly to grow up and say why did you do that with me and not my brother and sister."
The mum-of-two went on to add, "All the constant messages [on social media] questioning my love for Ritchie does get me down though because I love my children exactly the same. Having one in the public eye and one not doesn't reflect how much I love them. It is just different decisions based on different dads."
Ritchie turned four in September 2022 and Amy marked the occasion by sharing two photos of her rarely seen son. The first showed Amy cradling Ritchie when he was a baby and the second gave fan a glimpse of Ritchie's long hair as he could be seen holding hands with his sister Polly.
Amy Childs' twins
Amy's twins with Billy were born on 6 April 2023. Before knowing what she was having Amy confessed, "It would be lovely - a boy and a girl," and also admitted having two boys would be "hard." Of course Amy would have been ecstatic with any option but it looks as though she got just what she was after.
Amy's BFF Harry Derbidge commented on the reveal video "I knew it ❤️❤️❤️❤️ can’t wait for them both to be here 💖💙💖💙💖 so happy for you both! One happy uncle xx" and fellow mum Olivia Bowen congratulated the reality star, "Omggggg I’m so buzzing for you both! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ the best xxxx"
