People deal with grief in different ways. Veronica McCorkle Andrew decided to share her emotional journey through Facebook after her 3-year-old son passed away.
She wrote via Facebook on July 12: "For those who don't know Garrett drowned in my parents pool today. He is brain dead and being kept alive til Cody gets to Texas tonight."
Veronica, from Utah has shared many heartbreaking posts since her sons tragic death, fuelling many supportive comments from her Facebook friends.
One user commented: "I'm absolutely heartbroken for you Veronica - I can't stop crying, I am so so very sorry for your utterly devastating loss of Garrett".

The parents faced the agonising decision of whether to keep Garrett alive via a machine or to switch it off, a decision no parent should ever have to make.
On 13 July Veronica posted: "Turned off the ventilator. Getting ready to harvest his organs. God, please be near us. Please wrap him in your arms and hold him for me. I don't know if I can survive.
At 8:25 Garrett passed through the veil of Heaven... Please pray for us".

Veronica's lifelong friend Carli Webb has been incredibly supportive, as she knows what it feels like more than anyone.
She said: "If you are left alone in that there is no way you can handle it".
Veronica was there when Carli lost her eight-year-old son Liam to Cancer last year. Carli said: "It is like mourning with those who mourn. They are not just sad they want to do something".
Although posting it online isn't the most conventional way to deal with grief, the support you receive through it is phenomenal.
She posted: "My phone, inbox and wall have been flooded with kind words of love and support from so many people... Thank you".

Something positive has at least come out of this tragic situation, with organ donation being made possible.
Veronica posted a status about it: "Garrett's kidneys were transplanted this morning into a 30 year old woman in Houston who had been waiting for a year. Although she is not a child, she is someone's child... they have been praying for a miracle and it happened this morning.
My heart is bursting with gratitude that something good came out of this. My baby lives on".
