Adam Lyons, who lives with his TWO girlfriends in a "throuple", is expecting a new addition to the unorthodox family as one is pregnant
Adam Lyons from East London now lives in Texas in the US with his girlfriends.
No, that's not a typo - it really is plural.
Adam, 36, lives with his TWO girlfriends Brooke Shedd and Jane Shalakhova. He and Brooke already have two-year-old son Dante together, and Brooke's seven-year-old son Oliver from a previous relationship is also part of the family.
The threesome all share one king-sized bed, and have the kids call Adam "Dad" and both Jane and Brooke "Mum".
Adam said: "It's so sweet that we all get to parent and raise the kids together. We have talked about it at length and we all consider ourselves parents to the children.
"For us, three definitely works better than two."
Adam, who runs his own business, explained that to them, three people just makes good, logical sense: "For us, three people works because it enables us to manage daily life so much better.
"So many of our friends are in 'normal' two-person couple relationships with kids, jobs and all the other typical responsibilities and I see them struggling to juggle their lives. It's difficult with two people, but with three parents, we always have the ability for one person to look after the kids.
"As a result, we never begrudge each other anything because we all have lots of time. With three people, it's logistically so much easier to handle all those things - we share out the responsibilities."
The expectant dad also revealed that their situation "fits our sexual preferences too", adding that not everyone was supportive.
He said: "When Brooke, Jane and I first came out about our relationship, we had some criticism and certain people said we wouldn't last.
"But we've been going for five years now. What we have is not a fling or a phase, we're a real family with healthy, happy kids. Our son Oliver doesn't even recognise what is 'unusual' about our family.
"This should be the future of relationships, where people are able to enjoy love in any way they feel works. Three people and three parents makes so much sense to us."
Jane, 27, who is the expectant mother, confessed she didn't even want children until she saw what it could be like with three parents: "When I had boyfriends before, I never wanted or cared about kids.
"Growing up, I always thought that when you had a baby, you became a slave to your child. You see a lot of parents struggling.
"But raising Dante with Adam and Brooke and watching him grow up with three parents around - I realise we could do it as a family. With three parents around, it's so doable.
"With three parents, we can still have a social life, make time for one another and share the parenting tasks so you don't end up like the typical sleep-deprived mum! With two partners, there's so much help and I'll never have to leave my kids with someone I don't trust."
Brooke, who is bisexual along with Jane, is also super excited for the new arrival: "I'm so excited for Jane's pregnancy - I love talking to her bump. I've always wanted four sons so this is a dream come true.
"I think our good parenting is one of the sexiest things about our relationship. It's incredible to see them Adam and Jane with the kids and how we share all the responsibilities."
The trio, who call themselves a "throuple" and who are hoping to get married as a threesome, declared that whilst all three of them are parents to the children, "Brooke has the primary mothering role."
Adam added: "Brooke looks after the children and will homeschool all the kids."
But the "throuple" still conider themselves to be in an "open relationship", adding that they occasionally add a fourth person into the mix.
Adam said: "We are still open in our relationship and we do sleep with other people outside the thee of us but to be honest, we don't have much time anymore! We're exhausted and happy with the children.
"We're still open to fun when it comes along. If we wanted to add someone, I'm sure we could."
The "throuple" spoke to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on This Morning about their polygamous relationship.
When asked whether there's ever any jealousy within the three of them, Adam said: "There's definitely some jealously. But it's the kind of jealousy you'd get if one of your friends was going on a vacation with a bunch of your other friends and you had to stay behind and work.
"It'll often come because I'll be at work and the girls we'll be like, 'We're going to go and get our nails done'."
Jane added: "I don't have romantic jealousy. I have jealousy on missing out on experience more. For example, we planned this big cruise to go from America to England and I got pregnant and couldn't come. As we'd pre-booked everything I said they should go together, and they did, but I was missing out. I was jealous because of all the fancy dinners and shows they watched."
