Every time TOWIE returns to our screens for a new series, it feels like there’s been at least one line-up change in ‘Girl Band’. Let’s be honest, they’ve had more members than the Sugababes at this point.
The group usually consists of Amber Turner and her BFFs Chloe Meadows and Courtney Green, however the other members are subject to change – and there have been some major changes over the past few years.
The newest member to join the group is Essex OG Harry Derbidge, who is in the current line-up alongside founding members Amber, Chloe and Courtney as well as Elma Pazar.
Speaking about the group recently, Chloe explained, “Elma and Harry are in Girl Band. Harry is the nicest person ever, he belongs in Girl Band. I think it started to happen filming in Cyprus and then more in Somerset last series. He is a really nice boy.”
However, Harry joining Girl Band has thrown a spanner in the works for his friendship with Ella Rae Wise as she’s currently the group’s public enemy number one due to her relationship with Dan Edgar (which may or may not be on the rocks).
Harry also found himself at odds with Dani Imbert and Saffron Lempriere in Bali and Chloe admitted that there’s a bit of a curse when it comes to people joining Girl Band.
“Whenever people join Girl Band and want to be friends with us they always seem to get a hard time! I don’t know why,” she told OK!
“It has always been like that.”
The founding member of Girl Band was Megan McKenna, who joined the show in 2016 and quit a year later. Chloe, M, Courtney and Amber were all introduced to the show as Megan's friends - but fast forward six years and the current girlband are no longer on speaking terms with Megan and don't follow her on Instagram.
Another TOWIE fave who recently departed Girl Band is Chloe Brockett, who fell out with the rest of the group last year. She later quit TOWIE altogther after being suspended following an alleged altercation with Roman Hackett.
Amber and Chloe M also fell out in 2017 following her split from then-boyfriend Jamie Reed, leading to the iconic scene where Amber shushed Chloe during a brutal row.
Thankfully they've made up and moved on since then and have gone back to being besties.
Who are the members of TOWIE's 'girlband'?
Megan McKenna
Megan was the founding member of girlband and joined TOWIE in 2016 when she defended her pals Chloe and Courtney in their row with the other women on the show. She was always there to have her friends' backs when they found themselves in an argument, but she fell out with her former BFFs when they failed to defend her following the whole Jake Hall / Chloe Lewis drama.
Chloe Meadows
Chloe first joined TOWIE in 2016 but found herself and Courtney in a series of rows with the other female cast members. Despite public fallouts with Megan and Amber on the show, Chloe, Courtney and Amber are still going strong as Girl Band to this day.
Courtney Green
Courtney has definitely come a long way since she first joined TOWIE. After previously admitting that she never wanted to move out of her family home, Courtney moved into her first home with boyfriend Callum Bushby last year. She's also the boss of her own make-up business and hosts a podcast with Chloe.
Amber Turner
Amber appears to have taken over as the head honcho of girlband since Megan left TOWIE. She announced she had split from long term boyfriend and fellow cast member Dan last year.
Elma Pazar
Elma previously found herself caught between former Girl Band member Chloe Brockett and the rest of the group, but it's all changed after Chloe left the cast and Elma is now a fully-fledged member of the group.
Harry Derbidge
Harry is Girl Band's latest member, but joining the group hasn't been without its challenges. Harry has found himself caught in the middle of Amber, Courtney and Chloe's feud with his other close pal Ella.
