We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of a TOWIE icon; she isn't actually gone GONE by the way, she has just quit the show but that's still a bitter pill to swallow considering who it is.
When it was announced that Chloe Brockett wouldn't be joining the current cast for their summer hols to Bali we did have our concerns.
What with Chloe being suspended from the show after a run-in with former bae Roman Hackett, as well as her ongoing feud with Ella Rae Wise.
Then there's the fallout with frenemy Elma Pazar and her departure from Amber Turner's 'girl band'; it felt like Chloe was preparing us for this very day.
The day she would say 'ta-ra' to TOWIE and spend the rest of her time enjoying bouncy blow-drys, sharing inspiring quotes and posting about her on/off romance with Love Island winner Jack Fincham.
As much as we may have seen it coming it doesn't make the news any easier to digest. Chloe has been a The Only Way is Essex staple for years now and has never backed down from voicing her opinion and causing chaos should supplies be low.
Taking to her social media account, the controversial cast member shared a goodbye message on her Instagram story.
She wrote, "I have made the decision to take a step back from TOWIE, it's been my life since I was 18 and I feel like it's best for me at this point in my life to step away, I'm forever grateful to TOWIE for giving me the platform they have. Love you all ❤️."
We will, of course. be seeing Chloe on her screens for Celebrity Ex on the Beach where she is joined by James 'Lock' Lockie as well as Love Island 2019 star Joe Garratt and the reality TV star also has her own podcast.
We're just counting on the fact that she didn't say it was bye FOR GOOD, as in maybe she will make a spectacular comeback one day. Fingers crossed.
