We think they broke the record for shortest relationship between a Love Island winning couple when Sammy Root and Jess Harding called it a day on their love affair just a few months after leaving the Love Island 2023 villa.
Oh, actually, we forgot about Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea, who were crowned winners of Love Island 2019 and then split via text message approximately 0.4 seconds later. Awks.
Anyway, we're chatting about the reigning king and queen of Love Island, who had a tumultuous time on the show but ended up beating fan favourites Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki in the final.
However, Jess and Sammy's romance came to an end earlier this month and it looks like Sammy may already be on the look out for another love.
As a guest on Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks' Staying Relevant podcast, the reality TV star chatted about his future career plans.
The Essex lad mentioned he enjoyed working within the realm of TV which prompted form TOWIE star and Celebs Go Dating veteran Pete to suggest, "Celebs Go Dating then."
After all, it seems as though it is a prerequisite for every new series of Celebs Go Dating to feature a Love Island alumni. Chloe Burrows took part in the previous season, with Megan Barton-Hanson, Jack Fincham and Jack Fowler all making appearances on the dating show in the past.
"Possibly," Sammy replied, but it turns out that is not the only show he would be interested in taking part.
"[Celebrity] SAS, Jungle and Dancing on Ice," Sammy confessed, although we have to admit we can't imagine Sammy in a glitzy leotard.
Or can we?
"I f***ing love dancing and ice-skating, I am sick at ice-skating," he revealed, "I can back flip on skis."
To be fair he did excel at juggling during the Love Island talent show....
Sammy was previously linked to Love Island 2021 finalist Faye Winter, when they were snapped getting cosy at an event but Sammy has since shot down the rumours.
