Winter Love Island is just days away and as we are inundated with potential contestants and unexpected twists any news is exciting to us at this point.

So when a former Islander teased potentially returning to the show we were all ears - there is just have one simple rule; they want to enter the villa as a couple.

Colour us intrigued.

Paige Thorne was recently a guest on The Six O'Clock show and chatted to hosts Love Island 2019 winner Greg O'Shea and presenter Karen Koster about her time on Love Island and whether she would ever go back.

"I would definitely go back, but Greg, shall we jump in together," she said to the 2019 winner.

"Shall we couple up and go in together? That's a good idea," he agreed with a laugh.

To be fair, Paige didn't have the best time on the show. She had all that drama with Jacques O'Neill in the villa and then she coupled up with Adam Collard who notoriously returned to the show for season eight, having previously been taken part in Love Island 2018.

Paige and Adam then split after videos of Adam with his arm around another girl in McDonalds surfaced.

But we're so here for Paige and Greg recoupling and we're not the only ones. The comments section was brimming with fans loving the idea with one person writing, "They should just couple up nevermind goin back in!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜".

Another commented, "What a great couple they would be ๐Ÿ˜".

Anyway, on the subject of Greg here's everything you need to know about him - three years after he won Love Island.

Who is Greg O'Shea?

Now a TV presenter, Greg has had quite the career. He took part in Love Island 2019 and although he didn't turn up at the villa until day 43 he coupled up with Amber Gill, who was rather popular, and they went on to win the show.

Greg is also an Olympian (the sports kind not the Greek God kind), he played rugby in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and is also a board member for Rugby Players Ireland.

He also has a law degree that he started before going into the villa. Jack of all trades is our Greg.

How old is Greg O'Shea?

Born 23 March 1995, Greg is currently 27 years old.

When was Greg O'Shea on Love Island?

Greg was the winner of Love Island 2019. He was one of the last bombshells to enter the villa as well and he still managed to bag ยฃ25k.

What happened with Greg O'Shea and Amber Gill?

Their relationship was short-lived both inside and outside the villa. Greg arrived on the show on day 43 and was crowned the winner alongside Amber on day 58 but just five weeks after they won the couple split.

There were reports that Greg dumped Amber by text but he denied it.

Does Greg O'Shea have a girlfriend?

Doesn't look like it but we do enjoy the idea of Paige and Greg becoming a thing, in case you couldn't tell...

What is Greg O'Shea doing now?

Damn well for himself. Greg started his new Six O Clock Show presenting job in November and fans seem to love it.

He is also a weight loss coach, pilates instructor and has his own business Bettr With Greg that offers workouts and wellness tips.
