She’s still head over heels for her boyfriend Carl Woods, describing him last week as her “one and only” and her “absolute backbone” – but Jordan also gushed about her ex-husband Peter Andre to the nation once again.
Jordan – who has recently returned from a romantic “baby-making” holiday to the Maldiveswith her toyboy lover – admitted she was “fixated” on Mysterious Girl singer Pete when she met him in 2004.
Taking a trip down memory lane on TV special I’m A Celebrity – A Jungle Story, Jordan, 42, said meeting Pete, 47 – with whom she shares son Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13 – helped her cope with the loneliness that came with starring on the show.
She said, “I was just fixated on Pete. Having Pete there in the jungle did make it easier because you’d fall asleep thinking of him and wake up seeing him there.
“It was a proper love story and I think me and Pete are the only ones who had kids come out of it. I was 23, I had no idea I’d go into the jungle and meet my husband.”
The mum of five – real name Katie Price – was then shown footage of herself speaking about her romantic feelings for the singer, despite being involved with Scott Sullivan.
She said at the time, “I get on really well with Pete, he’d be the type of guy I’d go for – but I have a boyfriend.”
In the past, Jordan has called Pete “the love of her life” while her ex-husband Kieran Hayler has accused her of being “obsessed” with him as she would talk about him “every day” during their five-year marriage.
While Jordan and Pete split in 2009, her comments – in addition to the reminder that she developed feelings for Pete when she was with Scott – came just weeks after her most recent ex, Kris Boyson, accused her of cheating on him three times. And now insiders say reality star Carl is concerned.
A source says, “Although Katie has toned down Pete talk with Carl – and while he respects Pete – he can’t help feeling a little insecure, especially as I’m A Celeb! is back on screen and it always dredges up that nostalgia of the ‘Katie and Pete’ romance.
“He did talk to her about it, and she understands and has agreed no more Pete chat.”

Could it be fourth time lucky? After months of speculation, Katie and Carl confirmed their engagement in April 2021.
And days later, Jordan shared a video with fans of her and Carl – who has been caring for the former model after she broke both ankles in an accident on holiday in July – assembling a new bed in his two-bedroom house in Essex.
The source confirmed that Jordan is “half moving in” with Carl to make him feel more secure – especially as he also has fears for their relationship when she begins walking again in a few weeks.
The source says, “Katie can’t move in completely as Carl owns a two-bedroom house in Essex, while she has to keep her rented property in Sussex as it’s near the kids’ schools and it’s bigger.
“But she wants to make this commitment to Carl to prove that he is the only man she is interested in – Pete is just her past but Carl is her future.”
And despite being told soon after her accident that she could be wheelchair-bound for two years, it’s believed Jordan, 42, will be out of her wheelchair by Christmas.
It means she won’t need car dealer Carl, 31, to carry her from A to B or assist her with her wheelchair any more – and is another reason for her moving in with him.
The source explains, “Carl’s worried about what will happen when she regains her independence because it’ll change the dynamic of their relationship as he knows it.
“He’s loved looking after her and being her knight in shining armour. It’s brought them close together and that’s why their romance has been so fast moving, because they have been living in each other’s pockets. They’ve been like that since they met, so her walking and being able to do her own thing will test them, as it’ll be the first time she has been away from him.
“Since Katie broke her ankles, the kids have spent more time with their dads while she recovers and she hasn’t been working without him present. But soon she will be back working independently, taking the kids on outings etc. He does worry that their honeymoon period will end.”
Psychological therapist Emma Kenny says Jordan should hold back a little when talking about her exes, and explains it’s not unusual for a person to feel scared or insecure when a relationship’s dynamics change.

Emma says. “Katie speaks about Pete a lot and she should try to stop it as it puts her relationship at risk. I believe she is in love with Carl, but Pete will always be a part of her life as they have kids. However, she should be more respectful towards Carl’s feelings.
“In regards to him feeling insecure about a shift in their romance, that’s not uncommon. Probably for the first time in her life, she’s felt vulnerable, and he’s probably felt like her hero by being able to offer her help.
“Like any relationship, being there through bad times should deepen connections and strengthen bonds, but Carl’s confidence could become a little bit dented when she starts getting back to normal and being independent, as he will feel less needed or wanted.
“But it can go two ways – he could continue to feel more insecure as she finds independence, or the two of them find a new communication ground and adapt to their new way of life to make their relationship even better.”
