Not only have we FINALLY be given an official start date for the new series of TOWIE, but the producers have only gone and released a very exciting new trailer as well.
It's about time they provided us with the goods, especially after ITV went and cancelled the always festive and feisty Christmas special last year. We've been desperate for just a tiny little TOWIE treat for MONTHS now.
Stalking the cast on social media (don't judge us, it's our job) and checking out their latest posts and pics doesn't offer up the same surge of adrenaline as watching Junaid Ahmed fight with Amber Turner about something that probably isn't worth a row in public.
But all our Essex dreams have been answered as the series 31 start date has been confirmed as Sunday 26 March, which is just days away, and the action-packed trailer is giving us absolutely everything and then some.
Between Amy Childs telling boyfriend Billy Delbosq to get "the snip" (queen behaviour from the OG) and a potential fallout among girlband members Chloe Brockett and Courtney Green (say it ain't so), fans have clocked a new romance in the works and all we can say it's "about damn time". Sung just like Lizzo, FYI.
Of course the love bubbling is between fan favourite James 'Diags' Bennewith and Love Island 2019 contestant turned Essex regular Elma Pazar.
From friends to right person, wrong time, Elma and Diags are ticking off every romance trope you can think of. They've probably even attended a masquerade ball at some point and shared a secret kiss under the moonlight too.
But as the new series of TOWIE airs it seems the fairytale of Elma and Diags is about to reach its peak and it will be make or break for the could be lovers.
In a short clip, Elma is chatting to the two Chloes (Brockett and Meadows) and admits, "It's been right person, wrong time but now I'm going to make it right person, right time."
"I think he is the right person for you," Chloe Meadows agrees.
SO DO WE. Unless they're not talking about Diags, in which case absolutely not, pie him off and pick Diags instead.
Fans took to the comments to profess their love for the duo with one writing, "If Diags and Elma have found love together I’m gonna cry x." Another fan was hoping Diags has finally found the one and commented, "Rooting for Diags to get his happy ending x."
Diags of course dated Fran Parman on the show way back in 2014 and Elma has also dabbled in some on-screen romance as a star of the dating show Love Island, but ever since the pair hit our screens as part of the TOWIE crew the flirting has been nonstop.
When Elma first joined the streets of Essex everybody thought something was heating up between the two but things quickly fizzled out and viewers were left heartbroken (as were Diags and Elma we assume), but if the former Islander is correct, perhaps this is right person, right time.
Oh, we love it when a plan comes together.
