While some Love Island fans might think of the winter series as a flop they're absolutely wrong and the 2023 Islanders have proved just that.
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan are engaged, Jessie Wynter moved to the UK for her boyfriend farmer Will Young and Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad are still totally loved up.
The same can't be said for the Love Island 2023 summer lot - only Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki are still together. The rest have either split or are in an on/off relationship - Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde we're looking at you.
So we thought we'd have a look back at series nine winner Kai to see exactly what he's been up to, one year after leaving the villa.

Kai won the ninth series of Love Island with Sanam. They made Love Island history when they became the first couple to get together during Casa Amor and then win the show.

Kai was a teacher and semi-professional rugby player before going into the villa.

It's fair to say that Kai had quite the journey on Love Island. He coupled up with Tanyel Revan on day one, before switching to Anna-May Robey four days later. He went back to Tanyel on day ten, but coupled up with bombshell Samie Elishi on day 16.
Then, after things fizzled out with Samie, Kai coupled up with Olivia Hawkins and it seemed like things were going well until Casa Amor. Olivia chose to recouple with Maxwell Samuda in the second villa, while Kai brought back Sanam.
Although Olivia was fuming with Kai at the time, things all worked out in the end as Kai won the show with Sanam.

What did Kai Fagan steal from the villa?
So it turns out the £50k prize money and a relationship wasn't the only thing Kai took home because he managed to steal items from the villa before the finalists left.
While Sanam admitted that she tried and failed to take home the dress she wore on their romantic final date, Kai revealed that he’d been more successful in his attempts to pinch some items from the villa.
He said, “I’ve taken the plaque from my bed and also loads of the girl’s perfumes and make-up for my little sister.”
Wow, Kai’s sister is one lucky girl.
Kai's suitcase was definitely heavier on the flight home as Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill previously told us that the winners get a special goody bag as well as the prize money.
Chatting on Closer's Love Island Secrets, Amber revealed, "I actually got a lot of the photos that we took because I got my Samsung phone after I finished. I got loads of gifts as a winner pack.
"I got a cute little Polaroid camera. I got loads of nice things, cakes, flowers."
As her bestie Anna Vakili interjected, "It’s alright for some, innit?"
