After three long, dreary years (and we really mean that quite literally), Winter Love Island is back on our screens this month (Monday 16 January to be precise) which means several wonderful things for all of us this year...

One, January is no longer the most depressing month of the year, two, we have a new batch of beautiful Islanders to obsess over (and we mean that quite literally, too) and, three, we will be living and breathing all things Love Island for almost half the year. And since the cost of living crisis means that none of us can actually afford to go on holiday anywhere sunny anymore, it's nice to know that we can live vicariously through new Islanders for a good chunk of the year.

Rumours about the latest batch of Islanders entering the luxury villa in South Africa have been endless (although we have to say, many on the money) over the last few weeks. The first name to be leaked onto the internet was Tanya Manhenga, who we haven't even seen on our screens yet and we're already obsessed with; mainly because she's effectively already a fully fledged Islander, in that she's friends with Love Island 2022 icon Indiyah Polack, is already an influencer and has ambassador deals with EGO, SIMMI and Boohoo.

But what can we expect from Tanya once she's done her slow-mo walk into the villa on Monday 16th January?

Well, she's on the hunt for a boyfriend.

Who is Tanya Manhenga?

Tanya is a biomedical science student and influencer.

Where is Tanya Manhenga from?

She is from Liverpool.

Is Tanya Manhenga on Instagram?

Of course. As an influencer, Tanya already had 14K followers prior to her name being announced – not bad. You can follow her at @talkswithtt_.

What gives Tanya the 'ick'?

Tanya says, "Guys that don’t wear socks in the house. Why are your feet flapping all around the house? Guys have huge feet too, yuck. Also, guys in the bathtub with no bubbles, such an ick, no."

Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 16th January on ITV2 and ITVX.
