He was in the eye of the storm as the drama unfolded in Bali, and now TOWIE OG Harry Derbidge admits that, after landing back on UK soil, his feud with Ella Rae Wise is still rumbling on.
After betraying Ella’s confidence and letting it slip to Dan Edgar’s ex, Amber Turner, that Ella and Dan had been snogging their way through the whole trip, Harry tells Closer that he’s now receiving the silent treatment.
He says, “Ella has got the hump... we’re not talking. The situation with Dan and Ella put me in a tricky situation. No matter what had been said, I was going to look sly if I didn’t tell Amber. Ella knows me well enough to know I haven’t done it maliciously. I have been put in a very awkward situation. It has been me losing friends.
"Now Ella is ringing up my boyfriend Joe [Blackman] behind my back... she is telling people I have problems at home in my relationship... This is why I was not happy."
However, away from filming, Harry, 30 – who started dating boyfriend Joe last summer – says he and Joe are more loved-up than ever after recently taking the next step in their relationship.
He says, “He has moved in and we live together now... it’s going really good. We talk about loads of things. We have planned our futures and I know that will be me forever.”
Harry and Joe, who has a son from a previous relationship, are also now planning on getting married and expanding their family too.
After being left shocked in October when Joe got down on one knee to propose that they make their romance official, he excitedly explains, “We want to have kids one day and get married. Where he has got a boy already, he always says to me, ‘If we have a baby, Harry, and we do surrogate, I will let you be the sperm donor so it is biologically yours. I’ve had mine already’. When he says things like that, I know he’s the right person for me.”
But with his cousin and best pal Amy Childs preparing to wed long-term partner Billy Debosq in the near future, Harry says it could be a race down the aisle.
“They are getting married, not this year but next. So me and Joe might end up getting married before them!” he laughs. “We will just run away to Vegas. We will see Elvis Presley and do it. Me and Joe always talk about a Vegas wedding and about surrogacy. If we never worked out, I would be so sad.”
And Harry, who turns 30 recently, has been getting plenty of practice for fatherhood with Amy’s twins – Billy and Amelia – who’ll celebrate their first birthday this month. He says, “I’m missing Amy, and the twins are getting bigger every day.”
But while Amy is busy wedding planning and juggling her household, Harry admits he has unofficially joined the TOWIE “girlband”.
He says, “Over the last six months I’ve started to build up a lovely friendship with Amber. I spend time with Courtney, Chloe and Elma too. I’m talking to them more than I do with other friends in other groups.”
