The unthinkable has happened, TOWIE fans. Amber Turner's legendary Girl Band is officially back together and the new line-up looks very, VERY different to the previous one (think the Sugababes with WAY more Essex postcodes), which makes sense because the ITVBe reality series is utter carnage right now.
A little context before we get into this latest variation...
Once upon a time in Essex, TOWIE's Amber formed a girl squad made up of her loyal subjects Chloe Meadows, Courtney Green and Chloe Brockett. Last series, Amber and Chloe B came spectacularly head-to-head and are now no longer friends. As such, Chloe B departed Girl Band - à la Geri Halliwell - to focus on her solo career/identity.
Chloe quickly became friends with her former enemies Junaid Ahmed and Dani Imbert, which resulted in Ella Rae Wise spectacularly falling out with Junaid and Dani off camera – leaving Ella in TOWIE limbo (aside from Harry Derbidge and his new boyfriend Joe Blackman who have stuck by her).
Fast forward to the here and now – the current series – and although we haven't seen it play out on screen yet, we know from almost everybody's Instagram that Amber has invited Ella into the 'Girl Band' fold.
This means that Ella is now hanging out with the likes of Amber, Chloe M and Courtney – we don't quite know how that happened yet, but we do know that 'Girl Band' has reformed WITH Ella as a new member. So sayeth Ella, in fact.
Or at least a new TOWIE band has banded together.
Ella recently shared a group shot of herself with Amber, Chloe M, Courtney, Shelby Tribble, Harry and Joe with the caption, "S Club 8 🤣🤣🤣."
Oh, and considering the post belongs to Elma Pazar (who is also spectacularly feuding with Chloe Brockett right now), it looks like this band has spare members waiting in the wings.
Not Amber Turner giving us serious Jo O'Meara energy in the middle there...
We know Ella's only joking around, but we can totally see this name catching on. And, in fact, every member of this new band is getting on right now – even Amber and Harry who broke bread at the start of this series.
Debut single incoming? We're not even joking, ITV. If you can make that 2011 Last Christmas travesty happen, you can definitely make this happen.
Well done if you followed all that, by the way. You must be a diehard TOWIE fan and you are welcome here.
