While we’ve still got many months to wait before the next series of Strictly Come Dancing cha-chas its way on to our tellies, we already can’t wait to see which celebs will earn a highly sought after spot in the competition.
Last year saw the first ever Love Island star battle for the disco ball trophy when Zara McDermotttook to the dance floor and it looks as though she has set the path for other Islanders to learn the Samba.
From a boxer turned Love Island finalist, to a member of royalty, to a pop icon and a celeb chef, check out all the celebs rumoured to part of this year's Strictly cast...
Who are the other rumoured Strictly 2024 contestants?
Paul Gorton
One person who's thrown his hat in the ring is The Traitors star Paul Gorton after he teased that his next TV role could see him taking to the ballroom floor.
Speaking to Closer at Magic Radio's Big Karaoke Party in aid of Cash for Kids, Paul said, "I'd love to do Strictly. I can move. There's something in the hips, so Strictly would be lovely."
That's not the only show Paul's got his eye on though, as he continued, "Or I'm A Celeb, because I've got a two-year-old at home so time away, lie-ins, all that stuff, sounds like bliss."
Check out our chat with Paul:
Princess Anne
Strictly pro Nadiya Bychkova recently said that none other than Princess Anne would be up for appearing on the show.
Nadiya told The Sun, “I met her at a ballet event. She is a Strictly fan and she wants to go on the show — she told me. She did say that.
“I think she would be good — there’s a lot of personality there, isn’t there?”
Hannah Waddingham
Hannah has proven herself to be a multi-talented queen, starring in shows such as Ted Lasso and Game of Thrones as well as numerous stage shows and highly-publicised presenting gigs - but can she dance? We might find out soon enough.
Roman Kemp
Since stepping down from his hosting gig at Capital FM, Roman has more time on his hands, so what better use of his time than to make a go for the Glitterball trophy? However, Roman has previously stated that he would never do the show, saying “I would never want to do Strictly because that show is about the talent.” Still, you never know.
Perrie Edwards
The popstar has previously said that she would jump at the chance to compete, although she did admit it would terrify her. Could 2024 be her year?
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham
This would be a Strictly first if the BBC bosses managed to convince this celebrity couple to appear. It could be time to find out if Brooklyn has inherited his mother’s rhythm.
Toyah Willcox
When asked if she would take part, the singer told The Mirror, “Oh, God yeah. Well, I'd have to do it sooner rather than later, because I'm not going to be able to move. I do understand how hard they work. I'm friends with Angela Rippon and she was extraordinary… I wouldn't say no.”
Jill Scott
Having proven that she’s not afraid of reality TV after winning I’m A Celeb, it’s been rumoured that the former footballer will soon take to the dancefloor.
Gino D’Acampo
The beloved chef has previously turned down the chance to appear on the show, but who knows? 2024 could be the year he changes his mind and trades in the spatula for dancing shoes.
Phillip Schofield
Rumours have been swirling that Strictly could be Phillip Schofield’s big comeback, but so far nothing has been confirmed by BBC.
Louis Theroux
The filmmaker would make a welcome addition to the 2024 line-up if you ask us, so we’re thrilled that he’s a rumoured contestant for the show.
Sophie Morgan
The TV presenter would be the first ever wheelchair-user to compete on Strictly, could 2024 be the year she makes history?
Alan Carr
Alan previously explained on an episode of his podcast, Life’s A Beach, “I get asked to do Strictly every year. I get asked about what I think about same-sex dancing and I say no. Their eyes light up and go 'oh my god' and I say no because I'd get a lob on if I dance with Aljaz or Gorka.” That would be some amazing TV.
Rosie Jones
The comedian has been rumoured to be apart of 2024’s Strictly line-up. She has admitted to being inspired by Strictly winner, Rose Ayling-Ellis. Rosie said, “I'd say what drives me, is when I was growing up, having cerebral palsy I didn't see anybody like me on TV. In recent years, people like Rose Ayling-Ellis on Strictly have just shown that having a disability isn't a disadvantage and it will never stop me!”
Vicky McClure
Line of Duty star has been rumoured to be on the 2024 line-up, and since we truly believe she can do anything, we really hope this one is true.
Perri Kiely
No stranger to dancing, Perri is a possible contestant for this year’s Strictly and he sounds like a shoo-in to us. Having danced in Diversity since he was a child and previously competed on Dancing on Ice, his CV is pretty impressive.
Tom Malone Jr
Having left Gogglebox to focus on his dancing career, Strictly could be the perfect next step for Tom.
Munroe Bergdorf
If this rumour is true, model and activist Munroe could become the first ever trans contestant on Strictly. She told the Make It Reign podcast, "I've always said that Strictly is the only one that I've got a desire to do. I've got a plan. I want to get everything done that I want to achieve, then I can start doing those shows. It's really exciting.”
Tommy Fury
Family man Tommy Fury could be back on our screens for this year’s Strictly, and we’d be cheering him on alongside Molly-Mae Hague and Bambi no doubt.
Michelle Keegan
Michelle Keegan would kill it on Strictly, and it’s rumoured that this year the Fool Me Once actress could be one of the fifteen celebrity hopefuls.
Andrew Ridgeley
The Wham! star has admitted in the past that he would be up for taking part in the show, and this could be his year.
