Following his break-up from former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger,Charles Drury has taken to Instagram to defend himself over allegations he’s not been seeing their new-born daughter Larose.

Lauren Goodger's secret baby heartache

Sharing a black and white picture of him giving Larose a kiss, Charles wrote, “Daddy has and always will be there for you when I’m allowed to be my princess.

“I shouldn’t have to post things like this to show that I’ve been there for my daughter in and out of hospital whilst she was poorly but it’s being portrayed like I haven’t and some of the messages I’ve been getting are disgusting!”

He added, “The only difference is I haven’t been posting it all up on Instagram 👍🏼”.

Ouch, Charlie.

Last Friday he uploaded a statement to his Stories confirming that he and Lauren had “gone [their] separate ways” and implored followers to “stop making themselves busy and putting their two pence in as no drama is needed round here.”

Shockingly, though, it seems that drama has indeed made itself known to the former couple as many took to the comments on his recent post to pick sides.

“Hold your head up high x you’re an amazing daddy and I pray you find happiness with someone that deserves you,” wrote one, with another saying, “At least he’s not posting filtered pouting pics in a hospital with a sick baby 🤢.”

Meanwhile Lauren posted an update on Larose’s health after bringing her home from the hospital, writing on her own page, “Just wanted to say thank you for the 1000s of DMs they are beautiful and I’m so grateful for your support on these hard times with a lot going on! Spent three days in hospital with my little princess. Mummy always has been and always will be by your side everyday!! We home now and she is so much better!”

Lauren has made no secret of the fact that she’s always wanted to be a mum, speaking regularly throughout her career about her dream of having her own little one.

Speaking exclusively to Closer in September when Larose was just a month old, Lauren said, "She’s so beautiful and she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m learning every day and trying my best. It is a vicious cycle – she needs feeding, then she needs her nappy changed, then as soon as that’s done, I’ve got to do something else, then she needs feeding again. It’s non-stop! I can’t imagine how women do it in their teens or twenties. I’m really glad I did it at my age, with more life experience.

“Breastfeeding is something that I really wanted to do, but has been so much harder and more painful than expected. My nipples feel like razor blades. My boobs are ginormous – they were big anyway, as I had my boobs done in 2014. I wasn’t sure if the implants would affect breastfeeding, but it’s a myth – it’s been fine for me.”
