As TOWIE fans will already know, most of the friendship groups on the hit ITV see more movement than the Sugababes in the noughties. The constant cloud of drama hovering over the reality telly stars of Essex means that it's not uncommon for a cast member to switch camps suddenly and form an alliance with another group in between series.
With that being said, one of the most concrete friendship groups of the series is so concrete that it has its own name; a name that strikes a mix of fear and adoration into the socials circles of Essex – Girl Band.
Yep, say what you want about Amber Turner's 'Girl Band' - made up of Amber, Courtney Green, Chloe Meadows, and Elma Pazar - but these girls can weather any storm together as a unit. In fact, the last time they had any issues whatsoever, was when Chloe Brockett locked horns with the girls, but even then, the OGs ousted her together.
Since Brockett-gate, Girl Band has seemingly tightened their ranks and been very selective about letting anyone into their inner circle. In fact, the only addition to the group has been one Harry Derbidge who, we have to say, seems to have strengthened the group even more over the last few months and is now – in series 34 – a fully-fledged member.
So, imagine our surprise when we learned that apparently Girl Band has since welcomed yet another TOWIE star into their ranks? And not just any TOWIE star, but arguably a former enemy.
Yep, according to do Elma, the girls have welcomed none other than Dani Imbert into their group – yep, the same Dani Imbert who is friends with Ella Rae Wise and has been feuding with Girl Band for years.
It's no secret that Dani has taken a step back from the drama as of late, even telling TOWIE fans that she tends to get on with everyone these days, but never in our wildest dreams did we think she'd be getting her permanent pop diva on with Girl Band. Saying that, the clue were there – she did the join the girls at a Justin Timberlake concert last month...
In a recent Instagram Q&A, a TOWIE fan said to Elma, "Love that girl band have adopted Dani into the group," to which Elma responded (alongside a gorgeous snap of her and Dani), "Babesssss, Dani puts the D in Girl Band."
Unexpected, for sure, but definitely a move we're here for.
If only they could all sing and dance, because we would be the first to buy those tour tickets.
