We know it's somewhat of a trend to make an iconic come back after dramatically exiting TOWIE à la Harry Derbidge, Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger, but those legends waited years before returning, not months...
Last summer, resident drama queen (and we mean that with the upmost respect – we're talking about TOWIE after all) Chloe Brockett was suspended from the ITVBe show following an alleged altercation with Roman Hackett while filming some of the final scenes for series 32.
For weeks, Chloe's fate on the show was a hot topic, until she finally revealed in February 2024 that she would not be returning to the series.
Taking to Instagram at the time, she wrote, "I have made the decision to take a step back from TOWIE, it's been my life since I was 18 and I feel like it's best for me at this point in my life to step away, I'm forever grateful to TOWIE for giving me the platform they have. Love you all ❤️."
Since Chloe's departure, fans of the reality queen have naturally been asking her if she would ever return to the show and this week she addressed the elephant in the room once in for all, confirming her stance on a comeback...
It's bad news, loves.
According to Chloe the "door is firmly closed" on TOWIE, adding that she believes she "left at the right time", which we have to say has left our left eyebrow firmly raised.
During one of her renowned Instagram Q&As a fan asked, "You look so happy. Do you miss TOWIE? Xxx."
Chloe responded, "Thank you, today's been a really stressful day, I'll be honest. I don't miss it, no, I think I left at the right time and people ask me a lot if I'd go back... I wouldn't, that door is firmly closed. Grateful for the opportunities the show has given me though."
Why did Chloe Brockett leave TOWIE?
Speaking to Closer earlier this year about her departure, Chloe exclusively revealed, "It was a decision that I made.
"I know some news outlets have reported that I was sacked; that is not true, categorically not true. I left, it was my decision."
Everybody assumed that Chlo was booted from the show after she allegedly threw glasses at Roman during an altercation but it turns out that she was only temporarily suspended.
"I was scheduled to go back after Bali, to be honest," she told us. "I haven’t told anyone that, but I was, and I decided not to. I just felt like I was at a place in my life where I don’t want any drama. I don’t want the agg."
ICYMI, Roman has also addressed the feud between him and Chloe as well as the accusation that he called her all the names under the sun during the altercation itself.
Talking to The Sun, the TOWIE star revealed, "Chloe said I called her a ‘fat c***’ and made it out like I was in her face saying this. I did say those words, but not directly to her. I said it as I walked away out of frustration because she had just thrown three glasses at me."
If we're being honest, both the TOWIE stars are in the wrong with this one; we do not condone violence or just casually using the 'C' word and making jibes about somebody's weight.
"I did her a favour by not saying anything," Roman continued, "But I won’t stand for someone making false allegations."
