The cast of TOWIE appearing on other TV shows before their Essex stint isn't anything new.

Junaid Ahmed starred on Amazon's Lovestruck High, Freddie Bentley was known for his stint on The Circle and we all knew the ultimate babe Sophie Kasaei from Geordie Shore.

As well as that lot, we've had lots of Love Island stars join the show - Elma Pazar, Olivia Attwood and Kady McDermott all spring to mind but the latest to add to that list is series 10 winner Sammy Root.

We had our suspicions that he'd join the show after he was spotted hanging out with the cast and we were right.

And now we've seen a first look of his appearance on the show and we've got two words for it - chaotic vibes.

In the upcoming series it looks like the cast will be having their very own sports day and Sammy can be seen in the video taking part in the sack race with the rest of the cast.

The TOWIE Instagram page then posted another video of the cast doing the 'Give Me My Money' TikTok prank and it was in that video that fans realised Sammy had joined the show.

"Wait! What!!! Is that Sammy from Love Island," questioned one fan.

Someone else wrote, "Let just add Love Island into the mix 😂."

Another added, "Is that Sammy from Love Island?"

Sammy's appearance comes months after his co-star Ella Barnes joined the show but here's hoping he'll have a longer stint because Ella was only in one scene where she spoke about going for dinner with Roman Hackett.

At the time a source told The Sun, "Ella was a huge hit on Love Island so it's no surprise she has landed more TV work.

"She's caught the eye of Roman, and is joining as his love interest. She's stunning and confident - so will fit in perfectly with the show."

Here's hoping we'll see her back for the new series...

Eden-Olivia is the deputy editor of Closer Online and she’s worked in showbiz since 2016. She has been obsessed with TOWIE since the first series in 2010 but her favourite ever cast member is Megan McKenna. Remember her infamous row with Chloe Lewis and Lydia Bright? Iconic.
