Ever since he joined the cast of TOWIE two years ago, Junaid Ahmed has been involved in A LOT of drama – but one person who’s been there for him throughout thick and thin is Dani Imbert.
Dani even supported Junaid through his series 34 love drama with Joe Blackman and Harry Derbidge, but ahead of next week’s Christmas special it recently came to light that the former besties had unfollowed each other on social media.
So, what exactly has caused their festive feud? Well, Dani has spoken out about exactly what went down between them for the first time and let’s just say it’s certainly going to be frosty this Christmas.
‘As much as I didn't agree with what [Junaid] was doing I was trying to be respectful and have his back. I was trying not to be negative. In the long run it has caused us to fall out and we are not really speaking now,’ Dani explained.
‘It has led to us falling out. Joe put stuff up on social media about me.’
Dani admitted she feels ‘let down’ by Junaid as he didn’t back her after Joe’s social media posts about her.
She told The Sun, ‘I would expect my best friend to have my back. I know he said he pulled Joe up on it, but it wasn't really enough.’
The reality star continued, ‘Considering when Joe him screwed him over I was there to pick up the pieces and when Joe has been nasty to me, he has not had my back.’
Although Dani and Junaid have attempted to make amends, the pair’s beef ‘wasn’t resolved’, which means we shouldn’t expect to see them sharing a mulled wine during the festive episode.
‘It wasn't heated and it wasn't a massive argument but we've realised we are two different people,’ she said of their attempts at resolving their issues.
As well as falling out with Dani, Junaid’s relationship with Joe saw him row with Joe’s ex Harry, Harry’s cousin Amy Childs, Saffron Lempriere and Jordan Brook last series.
But, months on, it seems like Harry is moving on from his heartbreak as he was recently spotted with a new man on a trip to Australia.
