We never thought we'd get to this point in our showbiz lives, but for a split second there we had genuinely forgotten about former TOWIE star Chloe Brockett. We honestly feel such shame for this – as regular readers will already know, we've always been a fan of the Brockett – but in our defence in there here and now, she did go very quiet on social media at the same time series 34 was dominating our every waking thought. So, yes, we momentarily misplaced our focus.
Thankfully, Chloe has made a spectacular comeback and done something that was bound to refocus our attention – the reality star turned entrepreneur is launching her own OnlyFans, following in the footsteps of the likes of Megan Barton-Hanson, Kerry Katona, Katie Price and Kelsey Stratford.
And fair play to each and every one of these queens because they are making bank. And in a world where a boujie, festive-flavoured coffee is over a fiver, we totally get it.
Chloe, who parted ways from TOWIE in February after five years (and THAT alleged altercation with Roman Hackett) made her announcement with a cheeky Instagram grid post (and we do mean cheeky) and tabloid interview. So showbiz. So Chloe. So here for it.
Posting a snap of her in lingerie with one of the best blow dries we have EVER seen (and we recently rewatched Buffy series five), she wrote, 'Click the link in my bio guys 💙🤍.'
Opening up about her decision to join the content-sharing platform, she told The Sun, 'I'm so excited about this, it's always been something I've thought about doing. What I've noticed about TV and ads on Instagram is it's in the hands of someone else.
'I just want to take control. I want to create.'
The reality star continued, 'I've seen Kerry Katona do it and make millions. There's such a stigma but there's no shame in doing it.
'It's not porn. I'm doing nice underwear shoots that people post on Instagram for free.
'I'll be posting sexy photos like Playboy glamour magazines. I want it to be true to myself.'
And we couldn't back her more, to be honest.
Speaking exclusively to Closer a month after quitting the series that made her a household name, she revealed that she is done with TOWIE, stressing, 'I won't return'.
In March, she told us, 'I’ve decided that I won’t return [to TOWIE]. Why would I go back to something I’ve left? It’s like leaving a job: everyone sends you a goodbye card, and then you swan in a month later. It’s embarrassing. You can’t do that.'
'I’m not saying that TOWIE didn’t make me happy – for five years of my life it did. But as of recently, it wasn’t something that I felt was making me happy so I had to take a step back.'
Queen behaviour. You go, Chlo. Now we just need a podcast update. Whenever you're ready.
Chloe joined TOWIE in 2019 when she was just 18 years old. Before joining ITVBe, Chloe worked as a hairdresser (where she became unlikely pals with Piers Morgan) and part time in an aesthetics clinic.
