We're slowly coming to the end of yet another dramatic AF series of The Real Housewives of Cheshireand what a series it's been; while some old feuds have finally come to an end, ferocious new feuds have sparked and raged on for weeks and weeks. Not to mention we basically watched Paige Chohan actually give birth on camera (now that's reality telly – Love Island could never).
While the drama in past series has centered around one or two specific Housewives, something about series 17 has dragged everyone into the epicentre of the Cheshire chaos this year.
Well, apart from Seema Malhotra, who according to Housewives icon of icons Lystra Adams has upped her "sitting on the fence" game this series (shade rattle), which has seen one of the biggest cast divides in the series' history; with Rachel Lugo, Nicole Sealey and Lauren Simon on one side of the battle lines and Lystra, Paige, Sheena Lynch, and Ell Egar on the other – and our Seema floating in the middle.
While Seema has more or less brushed off the remarks on-camera, she addressed her tentative reputation amongst the Housewives head on in a recent Instagram Q&A and, well, her response was not on the fence.
When a fan asked, "How has this season been for you, honestly? I am just like you, I don't get involved in the drama?", the OG Housewife replied, "Yeah, this series...let's just say there's been a lot of drama, but overall for me personally, I've belly laughed, I've had some amazing moments, I think you can see it. As the episodes continue, you will see that as we go along."
She continued, "I've had fun, and yeah, there's the odd bit of drama, but you know me, I'm a lover not a fighter, and I choose my moments. I'd much rather have a peaceful life, so yeah, if you call that sitting on the fence, well, there you go."
Seema has been on RHOCheshire for so long now she's practically part of the boujie furniture on set – and we wouldn't have it any other way. It's like TOWIE without Amy Childs. Just no.
She joined the reality show in 2016, after popping up here and there as a guest in the very early days of the series.
Over the years, Seema really has done her best to exclude herself from the drama, although she has clashed with one or two co-stars over the year, including Hanna Kinsella and even her bestie, Nicole.
