In an exclusive chat with Closer Online, Dawn Wardhas hinted that she’s set to return to the Real Housewives franchise.
If you’re as obsessed with the Real Housewives of Cheshire as us, then you’ll remember in December 2020 when she announced that she’d quit the show.
It was a tough year and to top it off, not only did Dawn reveal that she was leaving the show and the UK but that she would be moving to Dubai too.
It meant Nicole Sealey had no one really backing her corner and they’d be no more shady one liners from Dawn – “shut it big teeth” always comes to mind.
Fast forward three years, and lots of Dawn returning rumours, there’s good news in store for Real Housewives fans because Dawn has dropped a pretty big hint that she’ll be back on our TV screens soon.
During our Zoom chat (very 2020), we asked Dawn if she’d ever return to the show – even as as a guest - and speaking on behalf of ICE36, she admitted, “Well, firstly I’ve never been asked… I thought they’d at least ask me if I’d like to but I’ve not.”
Sorry, we’ll get back to Dawn in a sec, but how have ITV not asked her to return?
They’ve brought back Love Island winter and are set to have Love Island Games (whatever that means) and Love Island All Stars, but they can’t get on the phone to Dawn?
What a liberty…
Anyway, back to Dawn.
“I’d never say never [to returning to the show]. I love the Housewives. I’ve had 12 amazing seasons on there. It’s been incredible, I’ve got no regrets I loved every minute of it. Ups and downs.
“Its been incredible for my family. I’m a huge fan of the show. I will always support the show. I’m now a member of the public watching it as a fan.”
She went on to say, “Never say never but I don’t live in the UK anymore, I live here [in Dubai] so I’m concentrating on doing projects with my family at the moment. So watch this space…”
After we begged (literally!) Dawn to have her own spin-off family show she joked, “Tell everyone. Start a petition – Waking Up With The Wards.
“I’m in talks, we have been for a considerable amount of time, so hopefully it’s not too far away from the future.”
Dawn then teased that she might appear on another show before adding “keep your eyes peeled”, and when we asked if she’d appear on The Real Housewives of Dubai, she didn’t exactly deny the rumours.
“No comment. No comment,” she told us.
They say a picture paints a thousand words but those four words have painted a picture in our minds – Dawn’s going to be on the Real Housewives of Dubai, it’s been confirmed.*
*not really but we will be keeping our eyes on Dawn’s Instagram.
