While a fair few don't play the love game that well on Love Island, plenty do pretty well career-wise after exiting the villa; but even the majority of those can't hold a candle to Love Island 2019 star Maura Higgins, who, let's be honest, is giving world domination these days.

The only Islander who comes even moderately close to that is her series five bestie, Molly-Mae Hague.

No shade to any of our fave Islanders, but let's look at Maura's receipts: reality star, model, influencer, presenter, brand ambassador, host of Love Island USA Aftersun (such a slay) and now, actor.

You heard. And is anyone actually surprised? If we got wind of Maura heading into outer space in the near future, we'll probably buy it. Constantly giving versatility is our Maura.

In addition to the news that Maura is reportedly heading into the I'm A Celeb jungle in a few days' time, Closer online recently learned that Maura is set to make her acting debut in a new music-themed comedy called The Spin alongside Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt.

The film will debut at the Belfast Film Festival tomorrow (Wednesday 6 November) and we've got the first-look pics of the Love Island star flexing her acting skills.

Sorry, is that Pete Wicks sat with our Maura in that pic? The very same Pete Wicks that Maura is rumoured to be dating? It's not, but admit it, the resemblance is uncanny.

Speaking of her new film, Maura said, 'The Irish are known for our storytelling, so it felt fitting that my acting debut would be in an Irish film. Although I am comfortable in front of the camera, it did still feel nerve-wracking at first, but chatting with the brilliant cast and crew helped me relax.

'Being on set was an incredible experience, and I enjoyed every moment! I play the character of Rose, the girlfriend of Dermot, a down-on-his-luck record store owner (played by Brenock O'Connor).'

The Spin also stars Derry Girls duo Tara Lynne O'Neil and Leah O'Rourke, Brenock O'Connor from Game of Thrones and Bally Kiss Angel's Joe Savino. It's directed by award-winning director and screenwriter Michael Head too, so there's some serious credentials behind the film.

Although she entered the Love Island villa with her sights set on Tommy Fury, Maura coupled up with Tom Walker, Marvin Brooks and Chris Taylor.

She later admitted she fancied Curtis Pritchard and they coupled up after Casa Amor before going on to finish the show in fourth place.

Both Ben and Beary are awaiting an invite to join The Real Housewives of Cheshire for series 18. The budget's not there, but the drama is 💅.
