When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. And, erm, by that we mean we go into full self-care/skincare mode until the problem goes away. Works a charm 😅.

What with the seemingly never-ending lockdown, skincare (along with Netflix, sourdough making and TikTok...) has become a bit of a more permanent anchor through these tough times and, tbh, we're here for it.

In all honesty, we've always enjoyed a bit of time to give our body some love, and the 'ole hyaluronic acid/hydrating/glowy kind is the perfect fix for these cold winter months.

Now, before you go browsing the interweb for 'a hyaluronic acid hydrating glowy kind of love' (the much anticipated sequel to Etta James' A Sunday Kind Of Love) let us introduce you to the Boots Skincare Hydration Beauty Box.

As if they read our minds, the angels at Boots have brought us a seven-product skincare bundle and, the best part? It'll cost less than half the price of its original worth.

Yep, this moisture-packed treat box is worth over £75 but it'll cost you just £30 - you could buy that with one tap on contactless (a dangerous game...).

The Hydration Box includes the L'Oreal Revitalift Filler Replumping Hyaluronic Acid Ampoules, No7 Hydrating Skin Paste and Eucerin Dry Skin Relief Face Cream, not to mention four other beauty heroes.

Generally speaking, it's a first-aid kit for maskne (the urea in the Eucerin cream is a great antidote for irritation) and for £30, you can't go wrong.

Are you convinced? Go on...

Some pampering ideas for lockdown 3.0 from yours truly...

1. Do a hair mask

We may not be able to go to the hairdresser's (cry) but that doesn't mean your locks have to pay the price. Why not try a deep conditioning mask for a hit of moisture and gloss this weekend. Your newly glowing tresses will thank you for it.

2. Try jade rolling

It may seem like a fad, but jade rolling can help de-puff your under eyes, improve product absorption and even help with acne. Plus, you can get one for less than a tenner.

3. Have a bath

Simple, but effective. Chances are, you simply aren't taking enough you time. And, for that matter, you probably need some screen-free time, too. Run a bath, light a scented candle (lavender is a great relaxant) and just SIT. Enjoy the art of doing nothing, also known as Niksen.
