Let's be honest, for a dating show, Married At First Sight doesn't exactly excel at forming long-lasting couples. We actually can't think of one couple that's still going strong – okay, maybe Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling, fine. But Love Island's got your Cara Delahoyde-Massey x Nathan Masseys, Indiyah Polack x Dami Hopes and your Molly Smith x Tom Clares ALL still slaying and sliving. It's almost like MAFS is purely produced for the drama alone and not helping people find love.
That's not completely fair, because the show is definitely in the business of also pumping out reality telly icons for us to obsess over. So there's that, too.

Take MAFS 2023 queen Ella Morgan; she might not have found the love of her life on the show, but in the two years since she's been catapulted into the limelight, she has appeared on multiple TV shows (most notably, Celebs Go Dating), dipped her toe into the world of presenting and literally never misses a London red carpet opportunity.
Ella's even managed to get herself booked on some rather high-profile podcasts, most notably, Olivia Attwood's So Wrong It's Right podcast.

Showing a more vulnerable side to her telly persona on the popular podcast, the MAFS star opened up about several things she scarcely talks about, including why she split from Celebs Go Dating boyfriend Alex.
She also didn't hold back detailing the pressures of maintaining the perfect relationship online and got real about the difficulties of dating after transitioning and going under the knife.

Ella also lifted the lid on her brief MAFS relationship with JJ Slater who is now famously dating Katie Price.
Naturally, in true Olivia style, the Islander poked and prodded about where she stood with JJ almost two years on and what she makes of his current relationship (good girl).
The former clinic consultant responded, 'So I knew even before [their relationship] got leaked to the press. I didn't care, I love Katie.'

According to Ella, the two queens are actually in contact – in fact, they're friends.
She continued, [Katie will] always be iconic. We still message now, I love her. I don't have any bad blood with JJ. It's just, you know, like, he's just a bit of an ex now.'
Ella was originally matched with Nathanial Valentino and the couple had one of the most romantic wedding days we've ever seen, but it was downhill from there.
All hell broke loose on the honeymoon when Nathaniel accused Ella of lying and it was truly the beginning of the end.

The couple split, with Ella pairing up with JJ and returning to the experiment in a brand spanking new couple while Nathanial and JJ's original wife Bianca Petronzi leaving.
