It must be a strange time to be a TOWIE cast member. One minute you're enjoying luxurious holidays to Cyprus, the next minute you're being told this series had the lowest viewers in, well, a while.

Series 34 came to an end this week and featured the return of Frankie Sims and li’l sis Demi, as well as a somewhat amicable chat between former love rivals Ella Rae Wise and Amber Turner.

After the finale aired, we were also offered up a mini trailer with a hint of what we can expect from the long-awaited Christmas special.

Hint: all is not well in the world of Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman, at least that’s what the snippet led us to believe, but current social media tells us the couple are doing better than ever so take from that what you will.

Just a day after the most recent season came to an end ratings were released into the big wide world and it was revealed that the TOWIE finale had 48,000 viewers.

Such news has everyone wondering if this means the end of the most glamorous show in the world of reality TV?

One person who has voiced their thoughts on the fate of TOWIE is Bobby Norris and who better to comment on the show than a former cast member?

During his Access All Areas show on Fubar Radio, Bobby discussed with co-host Ellen Coughlan about whether it is time to call it a day on TOWIE and who should comment on the video? None other than Ella.

‘It may not be the same as old TOWIE, but times do change, people move on and we also have to move with the times too! 🥰🥰🥰 We all still do our best to bring entertainment, laughter and drama which I don’t think we fail to do either! Would be nice to see your face back on the show, we miss ya! X x x’

We can all agree that we ALL miss Bobby, but Ella is probably right, with the likes of Netflix and Disney+ now readily available, times are very different from when the show launched back in 2010. Who even watches regular TV anyway?

Turns out it doesn't matter whether or not this series of TOWIE had good or bad ratings as it's already been confirmed to be returning for series 35 with The Only Way is Essexmas also making a comeback.

WATCH: Here are even more TOWIE stars who aren't originally from Essex including an OG cast member 😱
