That revolving door at The Real Housewives of Cheshire is truly forever turning; glamorous Housewives and guests are forever coming and going and while some are – no shade – instantly forgettable (okay, that was a bit shady), other iconic figures will live in our hearts and souls rent-free infinitum.
Ex-Housewife Ester Dee is the latter.
Ever since Ester joined the series towards the end of 2016, she played the role of our real-life Cheshire-based Edie Britt perfectly – at least she did until she stepped away from the series in 2020 (like that year wasn't tough enough).
She then gifted us all with an early Christmas present in December 2022 when she returned to the show for a RHOCheshire holibobs alongside fellow legend, Tanya Bardsley - the special was called 'Christmas Cruising' and it was world-class, unmatched reality television. Partly due to the aforementioned returning Housewives.
After that epic cameo we fully expected Ester – who now resides in North Wales with her husband and daughter – to return for series 16, but, sadly, that never transpired. As such, the ex-Housewife fell off our radar for several months – along with any hopes of a full-time return from the Czech beauty. What a dark time.
So is that it? is there ANY hope of another (more permanent) series return from Ester? Well, that's entirely down to ITV, as according to Ester, she would "maybe come back" to the series if producers managed to secure reality telly legend Olivia Attwood and gave her full Housewife status.
Goals. But not totally beyond the realms of possibility...
Closer recently posted a story regarding the rumours that Olivia – who now resides in Cheshire – was in discussions to join the Real Housewives of Cheshire. As it turned out, Olivia recently teamed up with former Housewife Katie Alex for a new project (separate to RHOCheshire), which is MORE than enough bait for us to bite.
We wrote the story like the cute, excitable journalists we are and posted it with the title, 'Hang on, is Olivia Attwood joining RHOCheshire?' on our Facebook page (sadly, the answer was 'no', well at least 'not yet'). Not too long after posting, queen Ester herself commented on the post with her no-doubt perfectly-manicured fingers, writing, "Ha, maybe need to come back for this 🙏."
Take note, ITV. Do the right thing here. Please, huns.
And while you're at it, bring Tanya back full-time, too.
And Dawn Ward for the sheer #dramz of it all – we'd quite like to see how she'd gel with resident trouble-maker, Paige Chohan. Imagine.
