A year on from their Love Island: All Stars victory, Tom Clare and Molly Smith are still going strong – living together in Manchester and fighting over the affections of Molly’s adorable puppy Nelly.
And considering it’s just Tom and Molly, and Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie – who they spent Valentine’s Day with FYI – who haven’t split since leaving the South African Love Island villa in 2024, when we caught up the pair at the launch of Gtech’s AirRAM3 naturally we had to ask them the secret to their relationship lasting.
Tom revealed, ‘I think it’s because we know each other inside and out - we trust each other. That trust and loyalty is the biggest thing.
‘When you come out of the Love Island villa you're doing everything backwards,’ Molly added. ‘Because you go from living with someone to then dating them. Although to be fair Tom turned up with a suitcase and then never left.

‘I think it's just to really get to know one another properly, and just don't let outside noise interfere, and just spend time with each other. Move in straight away!’
Now we can’t help but feel like Tom’s comments about trust might be a slight dig at Molly’s ex Callum Jones – who she dated for three years after meeting on the sixth series in 2020.
Despite initially trying to rekindle the relationship with Molly on the first series of Love Island: All Stars last year, Callum eventually finished as runner-up with Jess Gale.
It wasn’t meant to be however because just two months later Callum and Jess had split, with Jess claiming 'there was this thing' that happened at Molly's clothing event that was 'unforgivable'.

Read into that what you will, but it doesn’t seem like there was a huge amount of trust and loyalty there…
Sometimes though, it can be the little things that cause the end of the relationship – never helping out with household chores, leaving dirty socks everywhere, continually loading the dishwasher wrong - luckily though, Tom and Molly aren’t sweating the small stuff.
Seeing as we were chatting to them at the launch of Gtech’s AirRAM3, we had to ask the couple about how they split the household chores, and it sounds like they’re all good on that front.

‘I think we're very 50/50,’ Molly admitted.
Tom added, ‘It’s just like, if there's something to do and you're there you'll do it, or vice versa. We never think, Oh, this is your job.
‘You do love hoovering though,’ Molly joked. ‘He actually does. It’s his favourite job. He’ll sometimes hoover the house twice a day. And when the Love Island: All Stars final was on, you started hoovering randomly in the middle of it.

‘That’s because I was stressed!’ Tom concluded. ‘I like stuff to be clean. I'm bit of a clean freak, because then I can concentrate.’
So the recipe for maintaining a successful Love Island relationship post-villa? Trust, loyalty and splitting the household chores fairly. Hopefully Tom’s BFF and one half of the winning couple of Love Island: All Stars 2025, Casey O’Gorman, is taking notes.
