Love Island All Stars: will the show return in 2025?

There are still plenty of Islanders who want a second chance at love

There was a time when we thought that Love Island couldn’t get any better. However, ITV then chose to commission Love Island: All Stars, and our little brains exploded.

All Stars brought back recent fan favourites like Liberty Poole as well as Islanders from the early days like Hannah Elizabeth that deserved a second shot at love. It also provided its fair share of drama and plot twists. Bringing the newly split Molly Smith and Callum Jones back as bombshells on the same night was diabolical, but it clearly worked in their favour as Molly went on to win with now-boyfriend Tom Clare, and Callum reminded us that he is an irresistible heartthrob (at Closer, we never forgot, but some of the public needed reminding).

When All Stars came to an end, there was a hole in our heart, and at 9pm every evening we had to ask ourselves, ‘Will we ever get this magic back?’ Fans will be delighted to hear that our prayers have been answered, and in early 2025 we will indeed be getting our second batch of Love Island: All Stars.

The news comes from the sensational Maya Jama, who has been hosting the dating show since 2023 as well as the Love Island Games and All Stars spin-offs.

She told Closer, “Love Island: All Stars S2 is commissioned and coming New Year’s. Hurray!” The new series will coincide with the ten-year anniversary of Love Island, and honestly it feels like we’ve been watching the show for our entire lives. Ten years of the show being on air means that we have all the more former Islanders to choose from for the new series.

Mike Spencer, the creator of All Stars, has hinted that we’ll be treated to plenty more ex-Islanders. “Lots of Love Islanders have been in contact about S2 of All Stars! Lots of fun people from S1 onwards.”

Given the success of series one, we can’t help but hope that a few of our personal favourites could reappear. Does anyone know if Maura Higgins is single? Or maybe Callum could come back on for a third time? We wouldn’t be complaining.

Love Island returns to ITV and ITVX on Monday, 3rd June at 9pm.
