We’ll be honest, Love Island: All Stars has pleasantly surprised us. Although it’s looking more and more like Ex On The Beach every episode, it’s been great seeing some of our favourite Love Islanders return to our TV screens. However, sadly there’s one face that definitely won’t be making a reappearance, despite how much we’d love it: Sharon Gaffka.

You remember Sharon. She starred on the seventh series of Love Island – which was eventually won by Millie Court and Liam Reardon – and coupled up with Hugo Hammond and Aaron Francis.

But despite her failed romances on the show, and the fact that she received a call from the producers to appear on Love Island: All Stars, Sharon isn’t packing her bags for South Africa just yet.

Speaking at the Nordoff & Robbin’s Legends of Rugby Dinner, she tells Closer, “I was actually invited to appear on All Stars, and although I considered it, I decided that it wasn’t right for me.

“My parents are very traditional and they struggled last time I was on the show. The impact that my being on the show had on them was really upsetting. I had chosen to put myself in the spotlight, they hadn’t, and I didn’t want them to have to deal with it all again.”

Sharon has been tuning in to Love Island: All Stars as much as possible though, to support her BFFs Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole saying, “Kaz and Liberty are my closest friends - we’ve actually just been on a girl’s trip to Austria for my birthday.”

Whilst Liberty’s All Stars journey is sadly over, following her savage dumping from the villa alongside Messy Mitch Taylor, Kaz is currently coupled up with Casey O’Gorman after failing to find love with Mitch, Luis Morrison, Chris Taylor and her ex-boyfriend Tyler Cruickshank.

Although Sharon isn’t sure about their pairing, she wants the best for her pal, so fingers crossed that’s Casey.

She explained, “Kaz needs and deserves someone to come in who’s all for her. I’m really rooting for her to find someone.”

And as for the Mitch and Liberty situation, Sharon says, “At the beginning I loved Lib and Mitch, but as a friend I know Lib can do better. There’s a reason why ‘Messy Mitch’ was brought back - he brought that drama.”
