Let's be honest, Love Island couples tend to move at the speed of light.
They’re exclusive after a week, boyfriend/girlfriend after a month, and dropping the L bomb conveniently right before the final and Love Island 2023 is no exception.
We’ve had Jess Harding and Sammy Root making it official, and an exchanging of ‘I love you’s' from Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas - and most recently Zach Noble and Molly Marsh.
With this Love Island timeline in our heads, you can understand our shock when Kady McDermott and Ouzy See revealed that they are yet to go on a date since leaving the villa.
The couple sat down with Closer to spill their Love Island Secrets, and Kady revealed how she's already ‘ruined’ their first official date.
She admitted, "We were meant to go on a date the other day, but I was bedbound, because I was ill.
"We were meant to go to lunch but I kind of ruined it because I was in bed all day."
Ouzy also chalked it up to the fact that they haven’t had time “because of everything that’s been going on.”
To be fair, when Islanders leave the villa, they dive right into interviews and PAs so we understand why it might not be the most romantic setting.
Kady further justified the couple taking it slow by saying, “We’ve only been out a week!”
Our heads were still on a Love Island timeline, whereby the couple would be married by now, so we’re just going to have to readjust our expectations.
Once couples leave the Villa, real life tends to kick in and some Love Island 2023 Islanders have already called it quits - with Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson reportedly parting ways just days after being dumped from the villa.
Most recently, and more shockingly, Leah Taylor and Montel McKenzie have also announced their split.
Hopefully Kady and Ouzy can overcome the Love Island curse and go the distance.
