Love Island has delivered yet another incredible season of TV, and we're still in mourning. Yes, we'll have Love Island All Stars series 2 this winter, but there's something great about Love Island 2024 being full of first-time Islanders.
While Joey Essex may have entered the villa as the biggest star, he certainly didn't leave the most popular. The girls stole the season this year, and we're still obsessed with 'The Prize' aka Jess White. Originally, Jess was coupled up with Ronnie Vint, but after a bit of love triangle drama with him and Harriett Blackmore, she recoupled with Sean Stone for a hot minute. Thankfully that didn't last as we can't think of two Islanders less alike, and soon Omar Nyame chose her. She then briefly coupled up with Joey, before switching to Trey Norman - better remembered as Troy thanks to an unfortunate slip of the tongue. In Casa Amor, Jess found Hugo Godfroy and the rest was history.
What happened with Ronnie Vint and Jess White?
Ronnie proved to be quite popular in that villa, and he caught the eye of both Jess and Harriett. As Ronnie struggled to make up his mind, Jess chose to dramatically end things at the fire pit as she didn't feel valued enough. It all seemed to work out for them though as Ronnie and Harriett are still going strong.
What happened with Hugo Godfroy?
Jess was drawn to Hugo during Casa Amor and chose to take him back to the main villa. However, a week later, Jess was sent home after receiving the fewest public votes for 'favourite girl'. Conveniently, Hugo was also sent home that night and the pair left the villa together.
They briefly returned towards the end of the show to vote out another couple, and they both chose Joey and Jessy Potts, ending their Love Island journey.
Unfortunately, a couple of weeks after leaving the villa, Hugo confirmed on his Instagram that he and Jess had called it quits. Shortly after, he was spotted getting quite comfortable with Love Island 2023 bombshell Charlotte Sumner, so he's probably not taking the split too badly.
Who is Jess White's soap star connection?
When ITV producers asked Jess White if she had any celebrity connections, they got an unexpected name.
“My only claim to fame here and he'll love that I've given him a name drop, my best friend, her uncle is Will Mellor. That's the only famous person I've ever actually met… But yeah, he's like the only famous person that I know, unfortunately.”
