The TOWIE cast looked noticeably different when the ITVBe show returned to our screens last September following a huge cast cull which saw the likes of Ella Wise, Harry Lee, Clelia Theodorou, Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows all receive the axe. But despite getting rid of ten cast members, bosses also introduced a couple of new faces including Chloe Brockett’s BFF AngelBo Stanley.
We last saw Angel on our screens last year and, although TOWIE isn't set to begin filming series 30 until later this year, the reality star is still keeping fans updated on her life on social media. Following her romance with Diags (or James Bennewith, as he’s otherwise known), Angel recently debuted a hair transformation after a trip to the hairdresser.
“New short hair,” she wrote on Instagram.
But, this isn't short hair. This is long hair, right? RIGHT?

Who is Angel from TOWIE?
AngelBo Stanley – whose actual name is Angel Bow Stanley, which makes more sense – is a friend of long-running cast member Chloe Brockett. Fans of the show will know that Chloe has spent series 29 embroiled in a nasty row with Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell and suffering the aftermath of her fling with James ‘Lockie’ Lock.

Diags' longest-running relationship was with Fran Parman who he dated for three years. Their romance was documented on TOWIE after she joined the show as his housemate. Fran first dated Diags' best mate Tom Pearce but things soon fizzled out between them, with the housemates then going on to take their relationship to the next level.Fran and Diags split in 2017 but when she returned to TOWIE last year, she revealed to pals Nicole Bass and Clelia Theodorou that they'd carried on sleeping together following the breakdown of their relationship up until 2019. The former couple later came face to face for the first time in a year in scenes which viewers branded "awkward" as Diags struggled to string a sentence together upon seeing his ex.

Remember when Love Island legend Kady McDermott joined TOWIE alongside then-boyfriend Myles Barnett back in 2018? At the time, she tried to set Diags up with best pal Jodie Charles but her efforts at playing Cupid didn't exactly go to plan when he admitted there was "no chemistry" between them. Added to that, there was huge Essex DRAMZ between Kady and now-axed co-stars Chloe Green and Courtney Meadows when they commented, "the bigger the hoop, the bigger the whore." Ouch.Gatsby and Tommy Mallet later made Diags come clean to Jodie and confess he didn't want to see her again in a rather awkward phone call.

Three years after splitting from Fran, Diags' fans thought he'd finally found The One when he went public with Sophie Ernault in August 2020.The pair had already been dating for six months after meeting while volunteering in Uganda for charity The Abode Project but kept their relationship under wraps until she posted a mirror selfie of them with the caption, "We have fun ud83eudd0d."Although everyone had high hopes for their romance, Diags and Sophie just weren't able to make things last and split months later.

Demi Sims found herself in an unexpected love triangle when TOWIE returned to our screens back in September as it came to light that she and Diags had shared a secret smooch on a night out, while Roman Hackett was also interested in her.While Demi didn't end up pursuing a romance with either party, Diags insisted he'll "always be close friends" with the youngest Sims sister.

Demi wasn't Diags' only flame in the latest series of TOWIE as he also dated Amy after meeting her while speed dating. They went on a double date with Roman and Alex but things got a little bit awkward when Amy's secret history with Roman came to light.Things didn't work out for Diags and Amy but he did later admit that they'd also enjoyed dinner and drinks off camera.

Absolutely Ascot star Angel Bo Stanley appeared in the latest episode of TOWIE alongside her friend Chloe Brockett as they attended Dan Edgar's Halloween party and it was here that she caught the eye of Diags.It remains to be seen whether romance will blossom but we've got everything crossed for them.

When did Angel join TOWIE?
In the scenes from Dan Edgar’s Halloween party, Angel arrived dressed as Robin Hood “who’s been shot”, and Diags – the suave charmer – couldn't resist piping up, “Shot through the tits”. Cor, be still our beating hearts.
The conversation went on a predictable trajectory where Amy Childs asked Angel if she’s single and Diags invited her to “join the club”.
Fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the new arrival, with one writing, “Nice to see a new face on TOWIE!! Well done Angel hope to see more of you 🙌🙌❤️”.
“Diags get your graft on,” said another, while one more wrote, “Ooo there might just be beef next week 🤣 (with the blonde girl he met last week) haha 🤣” – referencing Amy, who Diags met whilst speed dating with James Lock, Pete Wicks and Roman Hackett.
Where did Angel and Chloe Brockett meet?
According to Angel, the girls met at a “mutual friend’s funeral” where Chloe complimented Angel’s outfit and the start of a beautiful friendship was born (totally appropriate, we’re sure you’ll agree).

That’s right, Angel starred on the short lived series Absolutely Ascot, which was billed as a cross between TOWIE and Made in Chelsea and ran for just two series in 2018.

The show drew controversy after a petition started circulating online calling for the show to be axed, reportedly devised by residents of the town itself. In October 2018, three stars of the show appeared on the This Morning sofa to defend the show, saying, “[The people behind the petition] are the older people. They don’t know that we represent the younger community.
“The show is our real life. It's not scripted. What you see is what you get. It shouldn’t be plugged as being like MIC or Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.
“Ascot is a judgmental place.”
