TOWIE stardom is a fickle beast. One series, you're the focus of all the screen time and quite the cock of the Brentwood walk. Deals with online clothing companies, VIP party invites and queue jumping at Sugar Hut are yours for the taking.

The next, you can find yourself quietly shown the door due to a 'lack of storylines', you're back to paying for your own prosecco and the bouncers at Sugar Hut act like you're a total nobody. Ouch.

Some of the former TOWIE cast have been given the boot while their beloved managed to stay on the show. How could any relationship withstand that? (Spoiler: it didn't).

So now, get ready to feast your eyes on the crop of the "left by mutual decision" bunch. We've also dug them out to find out what they're doing now, because we do love a happy ending.

Dan Osborne, pictured here with James Argent in 2013, managed seven series on the show. He was given the boot after a series of recordings, claiming to show Dan being verbally abusive towards his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin, came to light.

When is TOWIE back?

TOWIE in 2021 had quite the switch up.

The year started with viewers seeing Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge return to the show full time and newbie Roman Hackett arrived.

However fast forward a few months and TOWIE bosses confirmed they were "evolving with some changes" by axing 10 cast members.

In their statement they explained, "This change allows our cast more time to film their real lives, showing more of their personal passions and professions, alongside their strong bonds and dynamics with family and friends ✨".

But in a complete U-turn before the series and Christmas special had ended fans saw the return of Ella Wise, Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows - just months after their axe.

Now it's not yet known if they'll back in 2022, in fact TOWIE haven't confirmed who will be on the show this year.

Luckily though Chloe Brockett has opened up about the new series and revealed filming begins in March.
