The first episode of a fresh new ITV reality series starring a TOWIE legend (arguably THE Towie legend – sorry, GC) is set to air on ITVBe tonight (Tuesday 23 May 2023), which is music to our ears, as Real Housewives of Cheshire and TOWIE are both coming to end in the next few days. You have to give it to ITV; they're constantly helping us with that cost of living crisis by feeding us endless content with zero gaps, ensuring we NEVER go out, NEVER socialise and NEVER spend money. Well...

Said TOWIE legend is of course Amy Childs, who recently decided to document the arrival of her newborn twins alongside fiancee Billy Delbosqand share their journey with her legion of fans via her new reality series, Amy Childs: The Twin Life on ITVBe. Newborn twins, another two kids under seven, a new reality show, and still refusing to be usurped as TOWIE's queen? This woman really can do it all.

Prior to the release of the first episode of The Twin Life, ITV released a juicy teaser trailer as well as an even juicier press release for us keenos that get paid to watch reality telly. Interestingly, both shone a light on a rather dramatic twist in the couple's journey, revealing that shortly before the twins were born in early April, Amy had concerns that Billy was cheating on her after declaring that his messages "don't add up" following a night our with friends.

ITV says, "Although, there is trouble in paradise when boyfriend Billy goes on a late night out with friends and sends Amy messages that don’t add up, causing Amy distress as it resurfaces anxieties of her being cheated on. An anxious Amy seeks advice from best friend Harry Derbidge, who helps her deal with the situation."

Sorry, what?

It's safe to say this is just a bit of drama to give the new reality series that TOWIE edge (it is being filmed by TOWIE's production team, Lime Pictures, FYI) and all is dandy between the couple IRL, as since filming those scenes the pair have got engaged and celebrated Billy's 40th birthday.

Still, though: the #dramz. Here for it.

Episode one invites fans into to the new fam's household as Amy gets them all ready for the twin’s arrival, with the last minute building of baby bits and new bedtime routines – and a fresh new pre-babies spray tan, obvs.

The debut episode will show scenes from inside the hospital as Amy finally welcomes her twins; however, the birth does not go as smoothly when Amy runs into some unexpected problems which leads her to an emergency c-section.

But, again, we know that all turns out okay, as pictures of her beautiful twins are lighting up our lives on Instagram on a daily basis.
