The new series of TOWIE (35!) is nearly upon us and we will finally see what the hell happened between Diags and Jodie Wells that led to them breaking up.

Just recently it was confirmed by TOWIE bosses that the couple were no longer an item, but then Dan Edgar went and opened his mouth and said that actually they're back on.

The Only Way is Essex Instagram page has been sharing some teaser clips of the upcoming season, which is how we know that Amy Childs has MAJOR plans for her wedding, and is also where Dan lifted the lid on Diags' failed romance.

'Jodie and Diags, it has been a bit of a mad few weeks with them since Christmas,' the Dancing on Ice contestant revealed as he chatted alongside his not-quite-girlfriend Ella Rae Wise,

'Very up and down,' Ella added.

'They split up,' Dan went on, 'they're talking again, they're seeing each other again, they're going around in circles.'

Hold the phone, they're SEEING EACH OTHER AGAIN? The last time we checked, which was literally yesterday, the phrase, 'they have split up' was being thrown around.

The only thing we can assume is that this interview featuring Dan and Ella was filmed a few weeks ago and ITV weren't banking on releasing a statement which would detail the state of Diags and Jodie's relationship.

'I'm not really sure where it's going at the moment,' Dan continued, before mocking himself and Ella as he added, 'We're not really one's to talk.'
