We have to hand it to TOWIE’s Junaid Ahmed; this time last year he was beefing with at least 90 per cent of his cast mates, but he’s turned it around after entering his “peaceful era” and has started to make amends with those he’s fallen out with.
One person he’s built bridges with is TOWIE newcomer, Freddie Bentley, who joined the show as Ella Rae Wise’s bestie. The agg between Junaid and Freddie started when Junaid fell out with Ella last year, but it escalated while filming series 33 when they clashed at Chloe Meadows’ roaring '20s party.
Junaid branded Freddie “embarrassing”, while Freddie hit back, saying that Junaid looked like an “ostrich” in his feathery outfit – it was quite the row. But the pair managed to squash their argument and it was recently teased that there could even be love in the air…
During the series 33 finale, which aired on Sunday 2 June, Freddie was discussing a recent date with Ella, Saffron Lempriere and Dani Imbert when Saffron said, “Shame, I thought I was going to set you up with Junaid.”
Ella quipped, “So did I, I thought he had a little wife there,” and Dani added, “You have got a lot in common. I feel like I could kinda see it.”
The girls then accused Freddie and Junaid of “flirting” with each other, although he insisted it was all Junaid.
Following those scenes, Freddie addressed what’s really going on with Junaid on his Instagram story when one of his followers left him a message with read, “I’m sooo here for you and Junaid 😜.”
But despite our hopes for another co-star romance, Freddie replied, “We’re just friends 😂😂.”
Even though there’s nothing romantic going on between them, Freddie and Junaid’s relationship has certainly done a 180 recently as it was only weeks ago that Freddie revealed Junaid was blocked on Instagram.
When sharing pictures of their night out to Essex hotspot Sheesh back in April, Freddie tagged Ella and Dani and added, “& Junaid (he’s still blocked).”
Even though it seems everyone is chummy chummy again now, unfortunately, unblocking someone isn't that easy on Instagram, hence the shout-out over a handle tag.
Seriously, try blocking someone you can't stand now – they'll be gone forever. You're welcome.
