TOWIE fans witnessed frosty scenes last season, after Dan Edgar’s new romance with Ella Rae Wise left his ex-girlfriend Amber Turner less than impressed. With his and Ella’s relationship off to a rocky start, Dan now tells Closer that season 34 will see them try to get “back on track”.
Do you think you’ll film much with your ex Amber again?
She doesn’t open up. I think we’re in different places.
Have you got your spark back now?
Time improves things, and Ella has been a big part of me moving on. I’m relaxed around her – and if you’re having a laugh with someone, that’s a good foundation. I haven’t fully had that in the past.
What’s next for you and Ella?
The main thing has been getting back on track, but we’ll see where it goes. In general, I’m happy. You get to a place where you can reflect and understand yourself more. I’m finally growing up.
Ella Rae Wise: 'Dan's opened his heart quite a bit'
Ella revealed earlier this year that she had split from Dan, after rumours swirled he had cheated with his ex Hannah Rally. But with reports that Ella, 24, and Dan, 34, are now back on, the TOWIE star reveals to Closer that communication is key.
How are you and Dan?
He wasn’t my boyfriend… We didn’t communicate, and that’s what happens when you don’t. People think you’re not interested. And you are free to do what you want to do. We’ll communicate more now.
Has the split made you stronger?
In a weird way, it made us realise how much we did like each other. We’re not in a relationship, but we’re not anyone else’s. He has opened his heart quite a bit.
How are you and Harry?
There’s a lot going on with Harry and Joe. I haven’t spoken to either of them, as we’ve had a falling out. I want to be there for him, but there are things we need to talk about.
