TOWIE: the latest twist in the Dan Edgar and Ella Rae Wise romance is an unexpected but romantic one.
We take our hats off to Dan. He's been in the show for 18 (18!) consecutive series and is somehow still a main character. We initially knew him as a handsome man, who was a devil with women including Kate Ferdinand (then Wright), Jess Wright, Lauren Pope, and Amber Turner.
He then committed (mainly) to Amber for five years, other than a dalliance with Chloe Sims, but after they split he got together with Ella in Bali earlier this year - although he may or not have touched her on the waist at an earlier date.
Ella and Dan seemed to be getting on REALLY well. But things allegedly came crashing down when Dan was accused of ‘cheating’ after reportedly hooking up with his ex Hannah Rally while Ella was on holiday.
“Dan was dating Hannah for around nine months, they got together shortly after he split from Amber. Things were going really well and he even told her he loved her – but he said he wasn’t ready for anything serious,” a source told The Sun.
“Next thing he is in Bali for Towie filming and is getting with Ella. Hannah was obviously really shocked, but she just didn’t want the drama to decide to wash her hands of him.
“But they ended up getting together again when Ella was out of town in Dubai."
And Hannah went IN on Ella in an Instagram post, sharing a meme of a giant hand holding a miniature naked man by the penis with the caption, "Your man was in my DMs again sis, I believe this is yours."
Hannah wrote, "More than DMs, but now you can get out of mine, love @ellaraewisex 😘."
Ella appeared to take some social media swipes at Dan, posting about 'consistency' and 'pure intentions' but now maybe things are back on track...
Okay, we're taking a romantic inch and turning it into a mile here because we believe in love but Ella has posted a series of photos of her in a bikini (standard) and DAN HAS LIKED THEM.
Because we want to believe their love is the real thing, okay?
