When you think of cringe TOWIE scenes we're sure a few things spring to mind.
Exhibit A: Dan Edgar, Diags and Gatsby singing I Want It That Way.
Exhibit B: TOWIE's live episode that was full of awkward silences, the cast forgetting their lines and Arg screaming at everyone. LOL.
And now former Essex star Charlie King has reflected on his TOWIE days and admitted he still cringes at some of the scenes.
"The show was a phenomenon. It gave us all the platform that we have today, and I will always be really thankful for that, but I look back a little bit at the lost Charlie that I was and I cringe," he told The Sun.
Charlie went on to explain, "I can't always watch. There's always a lot of memes out there with me and Gemma, me and Bobby, and sometimes I watch them, and, literally, my toes curl and I grit my teeth, but equally, you've got to embrace that's who I was then, and that was part of the journey.
"And it was iconic."
Iconic is an understatement. Charlie, Bobby Norris and Gemma Collins were an iconic trio and we need to see them back together.
Charlie reminiscing about TOWIE comes a few of years after he branded the show 'crap' after he watched some of the show.
He tweeted, "I just caught glimpse of #towie - what the hell has happened to this show?"
After fans replied to his original tweet, he went on to add, "Really is just a 'he said/she said' loada crap".
To be fair he did say it in 2021 and that was the time TOWIE bosses axed Ella Rae Wise, Chloe Meadows and Courtney Green. It was a weird time in TOWIE land.
