TOWIE legend Amy Childs recently appeared on an episode of GK Barry's Saving Grace podcast and no word of a lie, it was the belated Christmas present we physically needed today. Like the rest of the nation, we've been in a festive food coma for about three days and, as such, we haven't been able to lift our heads off the sofa let alone belly laugh at anything; luckily Amy and Grace saved us – get it?
Our humour will return in January, we promise; no better than it was before, but it will be back. This Chrimbo Limbo has seriously got us.
Like with everything Amy does, she was an utter joy on Grace's pod – full of throwbacks, mummy tips and, obvs, TOWIE goss.
As the veteran star of the cast, Amy – by her own admission – sits back and chugs Prosecco while the young'uns get their #dramz on in front of the cameras; but you don't get dubbed the Queen of Essex without knowing absolutely every inch of what's going on in your kingdom.
Luckily, Grace was curious to know something we've spent far too much time worrying about this winter – are Harry Derbidge and Junaid Ahmed okay now?
A quick recap – Junaid and Harry experimented with dating several months ago and after that flatlined, Harry hooked up with his now boyfriend Joe Blackman; a move that made Junaid go...well, the only metaphorical image we can think of right now is something to do with Maleficent at the Christening, as we think we watched Sleeping Beauty during our food coma. In short, Junaid wasn't best pleased and made sure Harry and Joe knew about it.
They all patched things up during the most recent series, but they haven't been very present on one another socials since, which makes us a bit sad as we've had some great times with this duo (not in real life, on screen – we wish).
Considering Amy is Harry's cousin, while also being good friends with Junaid, one would assume she'd have some insight, and as it turns out, she does – and it's not exactly good news.
Amy told Grace that although the boys are now fine on paper, she's sceptical that they'll ever get back to where they were.
She said, "‘They have [made up]… I don’t know. I love Junaid and Harry, but I don’t know, has too much happened, maybe? They did a few scenes together and it was really lovely. I said [to Harry], ‘Have you spoken to Junaid?’ He said, ‘Yeah, a little bit.' I don’t know whether too much has gone on, I don’t know.”
We're not losing hope – TOWIE friendships are like yo-yos and we anticipate a bounce back in 2024. Mainly because we really do want to be friends with them IRL and refuse to believe our shot at that has passed.
During her chat with Grace, Amy also revealed which two MASSIVE reality shows she turned down in the early days of her TOWIE fame...
