They were one of TOWIE’s longest-running couples until they split in 2023, so it’s no surprise that the fallout from Amber Turner and Dan Edgar’s breakup is still playing out on our screens.
The current series of the ITVBe show has seen tensions thaw (ever so slightly) between Amber and Dan’s new squeeze Ella Rae Wise and although Ella probably won’t be joining Girlband any time soon, she and Amber have at least been able to be in the same room without it being unbearably awkward.
And, according to Amber, that’s all down to the fact that Dan isn’t on the cast trip to Bali.
Dan missed out on the holiday as he was taking part in Dancing On Ice at the time of filming and it seems like that’s helped the dynamics between the group.
Speaking out about the vibe in a video on the official TOWIE Instagram account, Amber said, ‘I think this trip, because my ex isn’t here, we’ve all been able to be together.
‘Because Dan’s not here, basically, it’s been great. Everyone’s been so happy because we can all be together.’
She added, So, basically, he’s the problem.
‘It’s been so nice because we can all be together and then there’d be no awkwardness and there’s been no splits in the group really, apart from the other two [Joe and Junaid].’
The shade is real.
As for where she stands with Ella, Amber revealed, ‘Ella has been around a little bit. She hasn’t really been out with us much. I think she’s only been out with us once, but you know, it is what it is.’
Dan and Ella first got together last year during the cast’s first trip to Bali and had a whirlwind romance before splitting, however they rekindled their romance during the TOWIE Christmas special and have been loved up ever since.
Amber is also dating someone new. She went public with Archie Chandler last year when they were spotted on a romantic getaway to Ibiza.
