It's been almost six months since TOWIE's Amber Turner announced she'd split from co-star and boyfriend of six years Dan Edgar, but we're still not over it. Especially as the aftermath of their emotional break-up is currently playing out on our screens as the latest series of the ITVBe show continues to air.
Despite Dan's claims that their relationship is over for good, a little part of us is kinda hoping he and Amber will work things out and reconcile. We just can't bear the thought of their adorable pet pooch Oliver coming from a broken home.
However, one of Amber's TOWIE pals has admitted that there's definitely no going back for the couple who, at one point, were the longest-running romance in the history of the show.
Abi Clarke, who appeared in three series of TOWIE in 2013, exclusively told Closer she was rooting for Amber and Dan to go the distance and admitted she was shocked by claims Amber had been texting Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins instructor Chris Oliver.
"I still speak to Amber and I love that group of girls. We love going out and stuff. I always thought her and Dan would stand the test of time, it’s so sad," Abi told us.
"I can’t believe the reports she’d text another bloke, I thought she was so in love with him. When you text some else, guys’ egos can’t deal with it, they’re not like girls.
"From a man’s point of view I wouldn’t imagine they could get back together now."
Abi even teased that Amber could move on with another TOWIE star as she continued, "I love Amber – she needs a good man. Someone will slip into her DMs.
"I can imagine her with someone a bit older, who can give her a nice life, definitely an Essex boy. A Dermot O’Leary type – someone established. Jack Fincham would be amazing too, he’s always out in Essex!”
Remember Jack's TOWIE cameo for the Halloween 2021 episode?
But we think Amber's bestie-turned-enemy Chloe Brockett would have something to say if she started dating her Love Island ex - especially as they've recently been spotted looking very cosy.
Although she remains close to her TOWIE co-stars, Abi no longer lives in Essex after moving to London to work as an aesthetics practitioner.
She said, "I keep in touch with some of the TOWIE girls even though I moved out of Essex eight years ago. I live in London now. I go back to see them though but I have a new life now.”
