Who else better to spill the tea than a drag queen? So when we remembered that Drag Race UK series 3 queen Elektra Fence had guested on The Real Housewives of Cheshire once upon a time, we simply had to get all the tea when she popped in to Closer HQ for a camp catch-up. Especially right now, when fans across the nation are utterly engrossed in all the series 18 drama.
We were armed to the teeth with questions for Miss Fence. What are the Housewives like when the cameras aren't rolling? Are they really all friends behind-the-scenes? How much of the show is set up for our, erm, entertainment? Did she witness any drama first-hand?

ITV, if you're reading this, a cheeky exclusive set visit to Cheshire would answer all these questions for us once and for all. Just saying.
In case you missed it, Elektra appeared alongside a multitude of drag artists and queer performers for The Real Housewives of Cheshire's Manchester Pride special which was filmed in the summer of 2023 and aired in January 2024.

While filming, Elektra got to meet the entire cast and glimpse at all the goings on behind-the-scenes, revealing exclusively to Closer online, 'It was so much fun doing Housewives of Cheshire. I love Housewives – my favourite is Beverly Hills, hands down. I loved filming Cheshire because everyone was so lovely. There was such a good atmosphere... There's a bit of drama going on in the corners, you know, but that's them, leave them to it.'

She continued, 'Nick and Royston were there living their best life. But the one Housewife I got on really well with was Tanya [Bardsley]. Like, sucking on a lollipop, Barbie Doll... I want to be Tanya. She's like a little Barbie and Tanya and I talk a lot now. She's a good egg.'
She really is, isn't she? SO good, in fact, she's getting her own spin-off show.
Elektra added, 'Everyone was getting on and it was lovely. It was fun. Everyone was just being huns and having a good party.'

Elektra Fence (who, fun fact, chose her drag name after a video of her being electrocuted after touching an electric fence went viral on social media) found fame on Drag Race UK series 3 in 2021 alongside queens like Kitty Scott-Claus and Choriza May. Despite being voted out in week 2, Elektra has gone on to slay as a queen on the scene.
She is currently training for the London Marathon next month; Elektra is running the marathon for Scope, a disability charity in England and Wales that campaigns to change negative attitudes about disability, provides direct services, and educates the public.
