Love Island star Paige Thorne has opened up about the reason she’s no longer a paramedic.

If you watched Love Island 2022 then you’ll know that Paige had a rough time in the villa – she has a turbulent relationship with Jacques O’Neill, she was swept off her feet by Adam Collard and then went through a public and awkward break up following nugget-gate.

Well, fast forward a year and following the drama with her Forever Unique deal(yes, the company Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Seema Malhotra owns) and all the tea about her relationship with Scott van-der-Sluis – she’s now revealed why she’s not a paramedic.

Opening up on the Not My Bagg podcast she said, “[After my Love Island experience] I thought I’d go back to being a paramedic and then my job was like, ‘Hmm. Don’t really want you to do that because you post pictures in your bikinis and everything else.’

“So I was like, ‘Right, I can’t do that.’ And then it was like, ‘Okay what am I doing?’

“I’m so upset about it. I worked really hard to become a paramedic. I worked three years before, Covid – did it all. Then they were like, ‘Hmm. Actually. Thanks, but no thanks.’”

Now that Paige is no longer a paramedic, she’s a full-time influencer and if you have a scroll down her Instagram you’ll see that she’s often out and about with her Love Island bestie Danica Taylor.

However things haven’t always been great between the girls, in fact, Danica admitted that they were not pals in the villa.

Shortly after leaving the villa, Danica told On Demand Entertainment, "I feel like at the beginning, yeah, a lot of the girls, you know, they weren't really... like, I'm not going to lie, watching it back, I've seen sort of the way Paige was went Antigoni left and it was very clear that she wanted me to go."

She later told Love Island 2021 star Toby Aromolaran on his Fancy a Chat? podcast, “Me and Paige did not get along when we were on that show.

"We were not friends on the show like we are now.”

Well, at least they've managed to put the past behind them, ey? They might not have found love on the show but they certainly found friendship.
